Pete Prisco projected the records of each team and i think you'll be surprised at what he thought the Pats will go in 2012 and also the numbers that 2 certain players will put up. (Look at the graphic at the top of the article)

Prisco..Wow. Who slipped him the Kool-Aid? After years (? decade) of bashing and belittling, he seems downright impressed with this team.....

I'm genuinely shocked that he thinks this team is perfection in the making (despite our schedule being slightly easy)

Also shocked that he thinks Brady and Welker will still pretty much average what they did last season especially Wes because you have Lloyd taking his yards away plus a bigger projected role for Hernandez.

lol... Pats winning the AFC by 5 full games over second place Denver. 16-0 to 11-5. I would hate the Patriots if read this and weren't a Patriots fan.

16-0. That's rather flattering but as seasons go 14-2 or 13-3 looks more realistic. 4 months is a long time in football (as we've observed).

Off topic but Prisco has a poor opinion of the AFC as a total.

Damn it! Prisco predicts 16-0. That means the Pats are destined for a 6-10 record.

Of Prisco can't help being Prisco in that he wonders if the Pats brought in Fells, Scaife, and Ballard as insurance for Gronk not recovering from his injury and/or stay healthy. It would make sense if Fells wasn't primarily a blocking TE, Scaife is done, and Ballard probably will spend the season on IR.

And one last thing, I still don't get why everyone continues to report Dennard had a "poor showings at the Senior Bow". He didn't play in the Senior Bowl. I think he practiced three days and practiced poorly for two and well for one before getting an injury that forced him to pull out of the playing the game and possibly affected his combine.

16-0 or 0-16...

It's still Prisco, so it's still crap.

Agreed, however I dont see Prisco's name on the article that is linked. Am I missing something?

Right above the prediction of 16-0. Based what I can see, an unnamed CBS staff writer wrote the article and Prisco makes the predictions. That is how a lot of the magazines do it like SI and the Sporting News. Have a lower level writer write the entire write up and have the big name writer make the record prediction.

Interesting that he has K.Faulk as being a key departure.

I didn't realize that Prisco had his ear to Belichick's red phone...

All of Prisco's record predictions are simply terrible... the Texans are going 9-7 in that division? The Ravens are going 9-7? Colts are going 1-15 with Luck? And somehow the Pats are coming out of all of this undefeated? LOL at a team winning its conference by 5 games.. Take a Pats homer who is really, really drunk and ask him to pencil in records, and he'd come up with this.

14-2 is a realistic aspiration with a return to the big game and I hope the Giants are there too meet us. Paybacks a *****. Just ask the the Yank-mee's. I don't know who your loyalties are with Salva but I think this team is feeling pissed-off and villified again.

If you think NE finishes less then 10-6 this year your a fool. Then were a hard out perioed.

0-4 preseason, 19-0 real season. Can't wait. Then NFLN and Espn will have to talk about us. Swallow your NE hate and suck it.

I know you're a fan, we're goin' on another good ride this year which will culminate in ring #4. Go to to the hall after all is said and done. You'll be proud. Trust me, I've been there.

Pat Kirwan authored part of the preview having to do with the X's and O's, he thinks the O will be better than last year. He mentions how Lloyd will impact the passing game.

His most interesting comments were about some of the rookies on D. Hen mentioned that BB likes to make it hard for the QB to read the D and when the Pats had a great D Bruschi, Willie Mac and Vrabel were the wild cards.

He sees Hightower filling the Bruschi role, C Jones in the MacGinest role and Bequette in the Vrabel role, be still my heart...

The rest is meh. PAt K is always a good read.

I want to know what Prisco was smoking when he made that prediction. There is no way the Pats are going 16-0. He knows it too. 14-2 is way more likely. Denver the second best team? Nah~Not happening.. I don't think the Pats schedule is as easy as people make it out to be. They have the potential to lose at least 6 games, IMO. They won't, but I see potential 6 lose able games.

A 13-3 team that has improved alot on paper. Sure there are tough games but 16-0 is hardly impossible.

Always good stuff from Kirwan. Overall a nice breezy recap of where the Pats stand as camp approaches, which is really all we can expect right now. We'll know more (but nowhere near enough) in a few weeks.

Interesting that he has K.Faulk as being a key departure.

And he leaves out Light. (He being Josh Katzowitz, who seems to have done the bulk of the writing. Looks to me like Prisco's only role was predicting a record).

It could — could — happen with much less strain than it did in '07, too. The core of this team also went 14-2 two years ago against a MUCH tougher schedule.
