Hi,

Wasn't sure where to post this.

I would like to take my son to this game on the 14 of October, this will be our first NFL game. I will most likely drive to Seattle, any help for a first timer would be appreciated.

I pretty much could use advice from decent seat selection that won't break the bank, time to be at the stadium, hotels, restaurants, bus vs taxi vs driving myself to said stadium etc.

Cheers.

I would suggest you private message SoCal Bong he is a member here who lives on the west coast who is always organizing west coast road trips he probably has been to a game in Seattle. He helped me out when I went to San Fran. Didn't wind up meeting him but he was real freindly and helpful online others on here have met him pregame.

I know SoCalBong personally and he's a great guy. He is definitely the person to contact regarding going to the game in Seattle.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

West coast (Vancouver) Pats fan here. I went to the game in 2008. Had a great time. Pats fans travel well, had a lot of them in my section.

In 2008 I went with my wife. We stayed in Tualip which is about 1/2 hour outside of Seattle. We stayed there 'cause of the casino resort. I wouldn't stay to close to the stadium 'cause it's not in a great part of town. Parking is pretty expensive really close to the stadium but we found a lot about a 10 minute walk away which was $10. We got there about an hour before game time. Gave us a chance to see warm up which was cool. It was during warm up that it was confirmed to me that Kevin O'Connell was a wasted draft pick as he was either lobbing or skipping the ball to receivers on the 20 yd outs. Cassell was gunning those same throws in there.

It's a nice stadium and unlike places like Oakland you don't have to fear for your life if you wear the away team jersey. The worst i got yelled at me was "Brady's a ***".

It's actually looking like I'm going to be going to this game with at least 2-3 other Pats fans living out here in SoCal. If anyone else is planning on going, PM me! We'll grab a beer or something

Beers good! I'll defiantly keep it in mind once I know for sure.

I'll be headed to the game with my wife and 2 kids. Seattle stadium was welcoming when I went in 2008. Stadium is in downtown Seattle and I may cab it nearby. I was in the 200's section and views seemed to be pretty good from most parts of the arena. It's good to have a covered seat in case it rains though.

I will definitely be at the game but most likely with some seahag loving friends. Booo! ;)

I'm going for sure. Tickets go on sale next month.

Thanks guys!

We're doing our discussion and planning for the Seattle game on this Facebook event
https://www.facebook.com/events/261140454002033/

Or you can get on our email distribution by joining the Patriots Tailgate Yahoo Group and voting on the poll
PatsTG : Patriots Tailgate
Make sure you vote on the poll otherwise you don't receive any info.

Quick recap
Tickets - group tickets have already been purchased. Individual tickets go on sale in late August.

Hotel - we have a group rate at the Courtyard Pioneer Square (walking distance from the stadium) of $119/night

Saturday night party - this is still being planned but there will be something

Sunday morning pregame party - also still being planned. In 2008 this was held at Showbox SoDo (a 10 minute walk from the stadium) and we had Mosi Tatupu and BoB Cryder hang out with us and to our surprise, Robert and Jonathan Kraft also stopped by and spoke to several hundred Pats fans we had there that day. Party will likely be at the same place.

Please join the Facebook Group and/or Yahoo Group for more details.

Thanks again to all of you who spread the word about the club and keep it growing.

I'm excited for you and your son! That will be an awesome game to attend (I hope because I'm going to be there too!). Take it from a guy who has been to several Seahawks games, I suggest you bring earplugs. It can and will get incredibly loud!

Thanks again for the info everyone.

It won't be loud when we take the opening kickoff, put 7 on the board and never look back ;)

I've purchased my tickets and reserved a room, Upper Level Sideline 310 AA. Now the waiting.

I hope they're alright, I tried looking at images to give me an idea, but they weren't much help.

I think Seattle fans are worse than Oakland. I love seeing games in Oakland. In 2008, I had a much worse time in Seattle as far as being told to sit down and cursed at quite a bit. I sat on the aluminum seats in Seattle (great stadium by the way) which seemed to have a lot of crazies. I won't sit there on October 14th. It's like the Seattle version of the Black Hole. Seattle fans have a really self important view of themselves as the 12th man. They hype themselves into a frenzy. Combine that with a heroic intake of alcohol and they are some of the most obnoxious fans I have had to deal with.

I live in Portland and drive to the game. It's a two hour drive. I paid the parking the last two times I went there. I don't remember how much it was. It's a parking garage--not a big lot--and there is NO tailgating. If there is taligating, it's well off site.

The weather in October is hit or miss. Seattle never gets hot or too cold.

Tickets don't go on sale until August 27th. How did you get yours?

The stadium is built such that the seats are all pretty good.

Purchased them via Stubhub.

Any idea what sections are covered?

Also, does the stadium get "sideways" rain that negates being under the roof?
