Yes or No... Do the Patriots make the Superbowl this season?

Well clearly injuries play a big role in the NFL.

With that said YES they wiull go back to the SB.

The Offense will be better than last year, by more than people think.

The D will be the best since 2004 in NE.

I'll wait to late August in the season predictions thread for epic predictions. :D

That said, Yes. Whether or not the defense improves, this could be the best offense in NFL history. No team has had four All-Pro caliber targets combined with a HOF QB, ever. Not the 2012 Packers, not the 2007 Patriots, not the 2004 Colts, not the 2001 Rams, not the 1998 Vikings, etc.

Yes. Got younger and IMO better on D

If it's the Pats against the rest of the AFC field, then the odds are no.

If it's the Pats against each AFC team individually, then I'd rather put money on the Pats than any other team.

Translation please?

I prefer being the underdog so I will say no.

But our team is significantly better than last season so I don't see why not.

Don't count out the Steelers.

I would normally agree with this sentiment, but apparently Big Ben is having a hell of a time with Todd Haley's offense. They play the Ravens twice in the second half of the season...if they get off to a slow start, Baltimore could run away with the AFC North.

Translation please?

It means that he thinks the Pats have a better chance than any other team, but less than a 50% chance overall.

Example: the Pats have a 30% chance of making it. Every other team has a 25% chance or less. This means

1) the Pats have the best chance of any team
2) If you are betting "yes" or "no" on "will the Pats make the SB", you should bet no.

Barring no major injuries, yes they will make it back.

I'm more worried about the other Manning. The one that the Patriots gave two rings to. Peyton won't do jack in Denver.
The other Manning makes the playoffs every 4years so we're OK for a while.

Do the Pats have a good to great shot at the Super Bowl? Yes. Will they make it? I have no idea.

The best team doesn't always make it to the Super Bowl (see the Packers last year). Looking at the AFC field, the Pats have an excellent shot at being the best team in the AFC. That doesn't guarantee them a shot to the Super Bowl.

I will make a prediction later this summer of who will go to the Super Bowl and I will most likely be wrong because most preseason predictions are. I am not ready to say if the Pats are that team.

Depends on when the injuries occur in the season, when they get healthy, and how the defensive picks (for the most part) pan out. If the answers to those are as follows: early, mid/later part of the season, and good then I not only expect them to represent the AFC in the big game, I expect them to win it.

No the Pats won't just make the Super Bowl.....

THE PATS WILL WIN IT!

Nobody has been to the SB twice in 2 years since the Bills of the 90s and no team since 1972 has lost a SB then won the SB the following year.

It's ALOT to ask for and this remains a very young defense overall,I would be thrilled to see them end those streaks but it's going to take luck to get there again.

I think we might see a new rising AFC team in the SB......The Bengals or Texans could be that team.

I hate my guy feeling, but my gut feeling says an injury to a key player will affect the team sometime this season, hopefully it's not Brady again

I seem to remember something about '03 and '04, can't recall what it was though...

:bricks:

Facepalm...

You do have to get through training camp and win the first game, or some of them.

Maybe before you facepalm me, you should ask Belichick if he thinks we'll make the Super Bowl this year and see what he says. Even Thomas at Pats Planet never looked past a whole training camp and season.:)

I'm pretty concerned that we haven't shown the pass rush I was expecting so far. and our secondary's shown nothing.
