NFL draft countdown just published a new 2 rounds mock draft. Here what they give to the Pats.

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft.html

24. Marcus McCauley, CB - Fresno St.
28. Dwayne Bowe, WR - LSU
60. David Harris, LB - Michigan

Not bad.

a mock draft before 1) we know the order, 2) we know who has entered early, and 3) the combine and personal workouts is useless.

In that case all mock draft, no matter when, are useless.

What? No inside linebackers?
We need to put Vrabel back on the outside. He's so much better for the team there.

huh? we'll know the order in a couple weeks. we'll know who has entered early when the dealine passes and we'll know how people performed at the combine after the combine.

A mock draft done the week before the draft is worthwhile. Now, it's crap.

There is a draft forum. I like the draft and to look at mocks too, just as sort of a guide. But they are useless, if taken seriously, even close to draft time.

Maybe this should be moved to the draft forum and then there will be less hostility toward it.

Does anyone think it's possible that we could

A. Move Wilson to CB
B. Draft Michael Griffin with the 24th to play S
C. Draft Posluszny with the later 1st?

Is that beneficial at all? haha

I LOVE David Harris. He is going to anchor a defense for years, and is a classic inside linebacker, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go in the first.

Marcus Mccauley is basically a better developed Antonio Cromartie, he will add height to our secondary.

I don't see a need for a wide reciever unless CJ drops into range because we already have a solid corp that will only get better, maybe a mid rounder, or a lesser known FA would be better to add depth if no superstars are available. I'd take Lamar Woodley, a McGinest clone, with the second first.

Dear Buzzkill,

Some of us love mock drafts for 2008, let alone this one. Lighten up.

David Harris is an ILB.

Actually

1- the order is almost set
2-We know who entered early. The deadline was monday
3-Of couse the combine and workouts will change the rankings but does that mean we cannot make mock drafts, just for the pleasure of it? In that case, I suggest to never visit NFLDC forums. You would be horrified to see that a lot of people are making mock drafts at this time of the year .

Myself, I'm waiting for a juicy compensatory pick from the Jets for tampering with Deion.

and in that case, everybody's opinions are useless as well.
