Interesting that earlier today Brady brings this up as his most indelible Super Bowl memory. I'll presume that he was referring strictly to the game last February, and not of all five Super Bowls as Curran implies.

Brady laughingly laments Giselle's Super Bowl defense | CSNNE.com

"Just before she goes to bed, she says, 'Yeah, people were following me and I just said something I shouldn't have said,' " Brady recalled.

He answered, "'I don't care really what you said. Just go to bed.' "

Bundchen had ripped Wes Welker.

"I woke up the next morning, I tapped her on the shoulder [and asked], 'Why did you say that?' She was talking about the best player on our team, Wes Welker, yeah. That was my most recent memory."

She was hammered :D

One of you guys really needs to let Brady know that Welker really isn't very good, in fact Edelman could replace him easily.

:(nice subtle (or not so subtle) cheap shot at Edelman.

It's official...Brady is not mad at Welker for the non-catch.

Posters on this board, however...that's an entirely different story :bricks:

What?! I hope I've had too many beers to recognize sarcasm here.

I liked the 'play after play after play' part.

I think it's what we all tried and failed to avoid doing that night.

normal human beings, and apparently the Krafts as well, will take time to get over it. That is why we are fans.

Players look at it differently than we do.

Still say if he caught that pass and the Pats won the SB he'd have a gigantic contract right now.

Could have been worse ... nobody called him Wes Buckner after the game.

You really believe that players care less about it than fans?

As fan's we've gotten to enjoy watching this team win 3 superbowls. So they lost a couple -- its not the best outcome, but it sure beats what the pats were in the 20th-century.

As players, they have limited time frames and their opportunities span 1-20 years, not the ~60 that fans get.
Wes hasn't won a superbowl and my guess is it took him alot longer to get over it (if he even has) than it took us fans.

An should brady be mad at wes? brady had plenty of other chances to seal the victory, but he also didn't execute properly. I bet brady was upset at himself more than at any of his teammates.

I do agree on the contract issue -- if wes caught that ball the pats might've been a bit more lenient. But then again, they weren't when it came to other players in 02-05 after those players were instrumental in winning.

Actually..... Someone started a thread immediately following the game, calling him just that

....yeah, that game, we're moving on, that happened in the past. We have a long way to go and this year to get better relative to where we were last year.

Yeah, except I wouldn't say "that night"...more like the last several months and every night until training camp begins.

Exactly, people say stupid **** all the time when their tipsy. Especially when being heckled by morons.

I agree and to me it seems like she knows she should not have said what she said. No one has the success she has had, without understanding what should and should not be said in public. The fact that she made the mistake she did was poor judgment but did show loyalty to her husband. So Brady is in a celebrity marriage with wife who will take his side even when its not the smart thing to do. Man that guy has bad luck...
