Rather have him get leveled on a play in training camp or mini camp than someone that actually matters

The guy's a football player. It's not like they signed Snooki.

This snooki?

Holley actually made some good plays for the Cowboys last year with limited opportunities. Mostly, I'm just thinking of the 80 yard catch that went down to the 1 yard line in overtime against the 49ers, which basically won the game for them against the #2 seed in the NFC. Guy's got no speed at all, but his size and hands are worth something.

I don't think he's going to suddenly turn into an amazing player for us, but if Stallworth is all that's standing between him and a roster spot, then it wouldn't be the biggest shock we'll see if he makes it (although I don't think he will). The guy can play, and dismissing him as a reality star doesn't make a lot of sense. Hopefully it'll stop in a hurry if he ever does anything remotely like this for the Pats.

Stupid thread title: that "reality show" was a competition for a spot on the Cowboys between receivers and d-backs. It involved intense competition every week. It was a good show. It was a reality show, to be sure, but to compare it to real housewives, like he was on a narcissistic drama queen show, is disingenuous. He was there to bust his butt to make the Cowboys, with some really stiff competition.

He came off as a good guy, overall very quick and talented, and won a very tough competition. I'm glad he's with the Pats.

I'll forgive that he is an alum of UNC.

This reminds me of one of my pet peeves: "reality shows" vs. "competitions."

Jersey Shore is a reality show. So You Think You Can Dance is a legitimate competition.

Big difference there.
