I usually am not one to complain about not getting respect, but I would have thought the Pats would get more than this. Salisbury and Schlereth gave the Colts the advantage on every question asked. The questions were ones like "Bigger difference maker on D- Asante or Sanders" "Better clutch performer, Brady or Vinatieri" and "Better storyline- Pats going for 4th SB, or Colts going for their first." They picked the Colt option on those, and the third one irked me the most. The Pats would be looking at making history if they won the SB this year...how is that not a better storyline than the Colts winning their first?

Also, Schlereth picked the Colts on ESPNEWS earlier, as did John Clayton. Looks like everyone in the media is against the Pats once again. I wonder when this will end?
At least we have Merriman in our corner:rocker:

Well you cant blame them, everything seems to be in Indy's favor.. Home Field, defense coming around.. Just hope we plan well, and then next week we could shut these guys up...

Not trying to take all credit away from them, but the Ravens offense is as bad as any, and the Chiefs are coached by Herm Edwards. This is such a "what have you done for me lately" kind of thing. 2 weeks against weak offenses doesn't mean Manning finally has the defense he can trust.

Just say no.

This is right where we needed to be. After we beat SD, I was affraid the tone for the week would be "here they go again" and everyone would be jumping on the Pats bandwagon.

The exact opposite has happened. The media is now in virtual lockstep in picking the Colts. They hate us. They want us to lose. They desperately want Peyton to get a title. Perfect.

True, I do think the Chiefs and the Ravens both sucked... And I know we wont do the same.. I just hope we dont give up on the running game, like we did in November.

It's bad when even the announcers are saying, "Everyone wants Peyton Manning to get a ring."

I firmly believe that the Pats preferred to play vanilla and lose that game than tip their hand before the playoffs and win.

Indy does have the recent advantage but that's the regular season. In the postseason they can't seem to handle us. Both teams are good and its tough to pick, but I agree they are seeming to show heavy favor for the Colts, maybe looking too much at the last 2 regular season matchups.

Here's what I'm wondering. If heaven forbid the bad guys win this game, and the Saints win theirs, who do they take in the SB?

You have the media's beloved Prince Pey-a-ton vs. New Orleans and all that comes with the Katrina aftermath etc. Their heads would explode.

ravens Defense is the best in the nfl ...lets not confuse ed reed with james sanders...somehow everyone talked about the ravens offense but its that defense which gave them a lot of trouble moving the balll..our D is all bend and dont break which is more riskier ...

Yup! (10 characters)

"More risky":)

The Baltimore defense did a good job against Indy. They only gave up 3 points more than they averaged giving up all year. The Chiefs didn't do too bad either, they only fell apart on defense after their offense continued to fail, so the defense was on the field a lot and got exhausted. I think that's the biggest thing about the game this week: Keep our defense fresh. We need to be able to force a turnover in the fourth quarter, and you need a fresh defense to do so.

all honesty for a non pats fan..manning winning the superbowl and getting of the marino shadow has to be a bigger story..i think we dont care as much but the media for sure..

I have to agree here. Beating Indy would have given us home field advantage. BB knew the chances were high that that one game could make a difference.

That being said, the Pats now are a very different team than when we played the Colts.

Damn, I hope we blast the Colts and shut that talking heads up forever.

In both the Colts playoffs games this year, the other teams defenses have done their job, its their offense that let them down.

Are these guys supposed to be reporters or cheerleaders?

Their bias is completely out there for all to see.

I thought it was interesting too how they felt that Freeney was going to be one of the big difference makers in being all over Tom Brady. If Shawn Merriman and the Chargers defense wasn't all over Brady, why do they seem to think the Colts will? Wishful thinking?

Exactly. I don't think Brady would let down our defense.
