That's not the same season.

I think he meant the rematches were in the same season. as opposed to playing pit in 05 the losing to them in 06

I get it.

It's a good point to bring up.

doesnt mean much IMO ...we lost both times to denver last yr...and won both times with indy in 03

Very interesting if it means that teams can beat Indy once they "get used to them." Hopefully Colts don't change game plan much the 2nd time around.

Yeah but that was the only time it's ever happened to Belichick when the same QB started both games.

Actually, this solid thread reminds me that if we were to lose then this would only be the second time in the Belichick era the same QB has beaten us twice in one season - that makes me even more confident especially when looking at Indy's record in such a scenario.

hope you are right but this team has won so much that such records are supposed to be there...we hardly lost more than 6 games in the 1 season since BB has been there...i doubt it means much especially with a known QB like manning ..just my opinion

Well look at how many games Indy has won but they still lose rematches. It's a small sample set but it's interesting.

Very interesting. Worth looking into by the Pats Coaching staff. Go Pats:rocker:

Those teams' coaches must have made some adjustments. They must have seen some weakness to exploit the second time around. I am fairly confident BB will be able to find something to key on that will give the Pats the edge on Sunday.

Even that Denver game the difference between the play of NE from the first to the second game was night and day. They were a Faulk fumble from shutting out a good Denver offense for the entire first half and likely would have gone in up 6-0.

I suppose that you could make the case that NE replaced poor play with stupid mistakes, but they already made a bunch of stupid mistakes against Indy this year.

If NE improves their play as much as they did from Denver A to Denver B last year, they will beat Indy.
