Photos From Patriots Rookie Minicamp - Day 1
By: Ian Logue

After taking a look through the photo archive this morning, here are a few shots from Friday's first minicamp session....

Fourth photo down, I thought it was Willie. Crazy likeness.

Chandler Jones looks more like a Basketball player then a Football player. He could add another 20 pounds to that frame.

Tavon Wilson looks quite bulky for a safety on the bottom picture, quite surprised at how big he looks out of pads.

Very cool; thanks. On the second photo down, I wonder if that's Eric Kettani, not Ebner. That's how he's ID's in a similar photo on ESPN (4th pic down).

Thought the same thing. Not quite LeRon Landry league, but I'm good with that. :)

Just double-checked, there's two shots US Presswire had, and they ID'd him as Ebner in both

With Jones at 6'8", with a long torso and arms, he will never get that barrel chested build that Hightower has. Jones' power is from leverage in his long arms and his mid section. His forearms will build muscle before his biceps from working out with his body type.

6'8"? Are you sure?

definitely Kettani, not Ebner

Yeah, you're definitely right, Ebner looks like this:

247?! I've seen a couple of websites having him listed at 266...that's quite the difference.

The Bianca Wilfork training table regimen will fix this

Heh --yeah, I think Kettani is working himself from Navy shape to football shape, while Ebner, dude's all set.

Jones weighed in at 266 at the Combine, so that's a real number. It's certainly possible he played lighter last year, but he put up his impressive Combine numbers at the heavier weight.

when i scrolled down to the last photo (wildon) i thought i was looking at Ty Law for a split second. Hope he play like Law.

Yeah, he's kind of got the build too.

Was it here I read that Markell Carter packed on weight by eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches daily?

Putting weight on Jones shouldn't be a problem as he has the frame to carry it. :rocker:

Looking at Ebner...he's got that kamikaze stare working
