I voted yes, but I'd have to hedge my answer with first being able to find a more qualified guy. Has to be somebody out there, though. Look at what Mangini did with the Jets. Also, your wording really pushes people into a yes answer with the Belichik qualifier.14-2 this season . . . but 0-1 when it really counts. He's 5-13 in his career.
If you were the GM/owner of the Chargers, would you give him a second chance?
I say no,14-2 regular season is a major accomplishment. The playoff record is abysmal,I agree, but only two of those games are with this team.I think he deserves another shot with this team next year. Then can his ass.
I think the 14-2 season just makes the loss that much worse.
Ok then, it makes him 14-3. That's still pretty damn good.
Exactly. They were dam god. Which is why getting bounced in their first game in execusable (in my eyes as an owner.)
When a team is that talented, and they lose, chances are the coach did a lot to **** it up.
So they couldn't get over the hump. Neither do 31 other teams. They also lost to a team who's won 3 out of the last 5 SB's. It's nothing to be ashamed of or to lose your job over.
