Let's take Brandon Lloyd as a given, since it'd be prohibitively expensive to cut him. I'm also going to take Slater off the table as far as the poll goes, since he's going to be on the team as the gunner, WR abilities aside.

Pick all that apply in the poll above, and let the binky battles begin. :)

I think one of the above will be cut, and that Edelman will make the team but in a mixed role (not primarily a receiver like the others)

And of course Ebert could go to the practice squad

Edelman makes it as a Punt Returner who provides minor Welker injury insurance.

Welker
Lloyd
Gaffney
Branch/Ochocinco
Edelman
(Slater)

I give the edge to Branch, so I voted for him. Stallworth, Gonzalez, Ebert, and the other of Branch and Ochocinco get cut.

I think Welker, Lloyd are locks. Edleman and Slater are on the roster due to versatility (Edleman upside as slot rec based on performance when Welker was out), that leave 2 other slots for the rest. I see Gaffney making it and one of Stallworth or Branch, can't see Ocho making it Gonzales due to injury history and being behind in the system. Combined with the TE corp and Woodhead and Vareen out of the backfield.....WOW.

Welker
Lloyd
Gaffney
Stallworth
Edelman
Slater

Listening to Gonzalez in an interview on PFW, he came across extremely intelligent and was confident about his ability to pick up the offense. I wouldn't write him off to quickly. I like the youth Gonz provides as well, if he works out we'll have him threw the prime of his career. If he stays healthy I'm hopeful.

Should be able to get Ebert onto the practice squad, no?

I agree with many of your choices, but I wouldn't lump BOTH of Slater + Edelman in there myself, but it's hard to determine how they'll be grouped too.

I think we'll have 6 viable WR's, including only Edelman myself.

Branch and Edelman cut.

Edelman gets picked up by a team who thinks he can be their Wes Welker, and he will have some moderate success. Branch is on the shadow roster all year. Ebert to the practice squad.

I think Gonzo beats out Edelman because of talent, if he gets hurt at any point in TC he's likely gone.

Vareen out of the backfield.....WOW.

Looking forward to this aspect, as I think many are forgetting the probability that Vereen will catch 25 or so balls over the course of the year.

Now it's time to focus on the hope that Waters comes back (definitely), and keep TFB protected and upright, as he is obviously the key to the team's success and how far they go this year.

The RB's, TE's, and WR's are all pretty well set, and should be much improved (depending upon how one views the loss of BJGE/Ridley as a replacement). It's going to be all about the hope that the OL keeps Tom upright, and as untouched as possible.

1.Waters coming back definitely
2.Mankins injury situation improving
3.Solder being ready for the protection of the blindside 100%
4.The health of Vollmer
5.Gallery being able to pick up the system and calls, and contribute if/when needed
6.Koppen coming back without rust
7.Cannon being able to continue a positive upwards trend/improvement

I'm good with Connelly right now, and think he can do what is asked, wherever that may be. I'm also confident in the last spot or two with Wendell, McDonald, or whomever it may be.

The top 7 are my concerns, in order.

Who is our punt returner?

Love having Jabar back, he definitely makes the team along with Lloyd, Welker, Edelman. Ikd say the other 2 spots will be between, Branch, Stallworth, an Gonzo with Ocho being the man out

Welker
Lloyd
Gaffney
Ocho
Gonzalez
Branch

I just don't think Branch will make the team. Ocho is a maybe.

No way Gonzalez and Ocho make the team

I think one of the above will be cut...

That answer was kind of evasive, Bro...

Are you...dancing around the May Poll?? :singing:

Right now I have Welker, Lloyd, Gaffney, Stallworth, Gonzalez, and Edelman. I think Slater makes the team solely as an ST player and Branch and Ocho get cut. Tough cuts but Edelman has St use and Branch is just so fragile that I think he loses out. Stallworth provides some explosiveness and Gonzalez makes it on youth.

Superlative Gaffney love right now. He has as many votes as Welker -- 65!

Lloyd is conspicuously absent from this poll :p
