Suggs out for year

That is a huge loss for the Ravens. Even tho I am no fan of Suggs I wish no injury on a player(Except maybe Benard Pollard).

my sentiments exactly. Suggs' running "fued" with Brady had become kind of enjoyable, and I do wish this had happened to Pollard instead.

it was because of spygate

It will be interesting to watch whether or not the Ravens still pay him his salary this year.

Is that possible, I mean the guy was working out? I doubt that is a clause in his contract?

Ok, what I read was that he was playing basketball. If he hurt it in the course of working out for the team, that would be different.

I hate Suggs as much as anyone, but I cannot take joy in a significant injury to anyone. Sorry to hear.

Agreed. Big loss; stinks to see any great player go down like that. And I actually kinda started to like the guy when he told Bayless "don't be a douche."

The story I read on NFL.com states that he was doing drills: "Suggs was working out and doing drills in Arizona, which is his normal offseason plan. It's a huge blow for the pass-rush hungry Ravens, who will be without the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year.",

the story is young though, so more might come out.

I'm willing to buy the NFL.com story for now. I'd read it from someone who was just a poster on another message board.

Unfortunate for the Ravens. Big blow and I hope he fully recovers for 2013.

That said, GREAT for us. Severely weakens one of our main AFC opponents.

A local Baltimore reporter was on Sirius NFL radio and he said that Suggs was injured playing basketball.

It really is too bad for him. This is an injury that can really hamper a player's speed even after recovery.

I agree. I hate to say it that Suggs may never return to be a dominant pass rusher ever again. He will 30 when he returns (turns 31 mid season that year) and most players who has this injury are never the same again.

Hate to see guys get injured. Big blow to the Ravens, decling Ray Ray + losing their best D player...Steelers and Bengals happy.

I never wish for injury to any player, and in this case it is no different. So get back to being yourself soon Terrell.

Please stop with the 'karma' nonsense. Nothing pissed me off more than people using that against BB and the Patriots after Brady tore his ACL. Get well soon, Suggs.

All that said, the AFC continues to weaken for us.

Biggest loudmouth aszhole in the NFL,but one of the top and most talented linebackers in the league that ANY team wished they had, including the Pats.

Its a shame and I hope he recovers well

His nickname should be T-Sittle. *rimshot*

Rumor has it that Suggs fell when trying to scale the south wall of Brady's castle in Brentwood, Ca. NFL security was on site within seconds and helivaced Suggs from the scene and the copter was last scene headed east. The FAA has since reported the copter cleared the Arizona/ California line and appeared headed toward Phoenix. Meanwhile, LA Swat in conjunction with NFL Security, Castle Guards, and agents from Policia Brasilia swept the castle grounds and an all clear signal was heard down in the valley. NFL Security remanned their posts at the four perimeter turrets. TMZ had this..."No word if Mr. Bundschen was disturbed from his sleep. Mrs. Bundschen was not at the castle at the time of the attempted intrusion."

BTW, Jason LacCafora is reporting it now:

Terrell Suggs likely out for season with torn Achilles - NFL.com

I feel sorry for Suggs (gutted, as some of our non-American colleagues might say).

To the Ratbirds and Harbaugh, however:

Come to think of it, though, GRONK must be upset. . . . who's he going to destroy on blocks now?
