If my math is right we now have 89 guys counting against the 90 man roster, that doesn't leave much room for maneuvering.

Ochocinco will get traded for a late round draft soon opening up another roster spot.

Back of the roster players are fungible, until they prove differently.

Expecting the Ross Ventrone release in 5...4...3...2...

Who exactly is going to trade for Ocho when most teams probably expect him to be released?

If the Pats need a roster spot for just about any reason, it won't be hard to make one available. they have as much room for maneuvering as they want.

You're nucking futs

At his age and pathetic production last year, you couldn't get a turkey sandwich by trading Ocho.....

That thing with Ventrone was kind of funny last year for awhile, but then started getting seriously annoying the more it went on.

I hope Belichick doesn't repeat the 20+ transaction crap with Ventrone this year....either keep him or don't.

You act like he did it just for yucks.

Did you honestly waste energy getting worked up over his transactions as if they meant anything?

We had 74 going into the draft. We added 7 in the draft, plus 5 UDFA and Gaffney..

The Pats Roster seems to jive with this since it is at 81 including the Draft picks but not Gaffney or the UDFA.

Also, I believe the 90 roster limit doesn't include draft picks since they aren't signed, but I could be mistaken.

The increase in size from 80 to 90 includes that unsigned draftees and tendered players who have not signed are counted, as do reserve list players.

LOL what? Ochocinco does not worth even the plane ticket. We will have to pay him the bus if we want him to leave.

Whoa whoa hey now! As long as the Raiders and Redskins exist there's always a possibility of getting a 2nd or 3rd for him :)

If it includes reserve list players, then that would include Light and Shun White.

Are you talking about a real carved turkey breast sandwich, or turkey loaf? Because I think you could at least get a turkey loaf sandwich for him.

Seriously though, I have always been one of the people who was rooting for Chad. I like him and his quirky ways. He may be a diva, but he's a fun diva not a T. Owens style diva. When the Pats signed him I was excited. I wish it had turned out differently, but it appears that the writing is on the wall.

Then again, we never really know do we? He could still wind up being the #3 receiver on this team. Granted, this isn't likely, but again.... you never know..;)
