After we drafted him I started thinking how his name is somewhat boring and that he might need a nickname considering how he might very soon become my new favorite Pat (really hoping this comes true). Well, I think I've come up with something.

The Pterosacktyl

Obviously the Pterodactyl reference as his wingspan is incredible, but with a little football linguo thrown in there.

What do you guys think?

The first time he gets 2 sacks in a game you can refer to him as "CJ2SK".

"Drafted Five Days Ago." :D

Lol...I know I know
I just wanted to be the first one to come up with something
Trust me I know he could amount to absolutely nothing
But I have a really good feeling about him

Someone hs said that Chandler Jones has a fairly respected NFL football player, besides his brother at the Ravens. His Gran Pappy is supposed to be the HOF DE who played for and was a charter member of the "Fearsome Foursome", a fellow named Deacon Jones.

I think a good nickname would be "Deacon II".

Last I checked, this was not verified.
I'd like to think it was true, though.:Dx

I figured that when PFW wrote "Bill Belichick shrewdly dealt up to land a raw condor with rare length and explosive body power" the nickname deal was sealed.

I could go with Condor, look at the wing span of them!:

Raymond Chandler Jones

He tackles like a long metaphor fuel by a bitter and sarcastic wit that likes whiskey, perhaps a tad, too much.

"Sanchez heard the timpani solo from the eighth measure ofAlso Sprach Zarathrusta and Ryan pulled him faster than a fat loser chasing after a woman in 5 inch heeled pumps on her way to the symphony."

chandler the handler

For now hes Chandler 'Cones' Jones in honor of the combine. seriously lol hes been with the team for 5 days.

"The bust".

What? :p

That is exactly the look Sanchez gets. EXACTLY.

It's too bad that Also Sprach Zarathustra Sanchez doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as, say, Condor Jones.

Hahaha....I do kinda like Condor, nice and simple

How about "CJ" simple, quick, and aesthetic.

How about Chandler "Bibi" Jones.

Hey! There is no icon for running away.:)

Always enjoyed that song, never knew it's title. Thank you.

Maybe this will have the opportunity to catch on!

The Condor is enough for me. Winner.

Mind you, he's going to be forever compared against Condor from Australian Gladiators in the 90's. That's some stiff competition.

Can we please stop repeating this untruth? Deacon Jones is not related to the Jones family of Arthur, Jon and Chandler as far as any combination of Google searches and/or the multiple articles I have read on his family would suggest. If this were true, do you not think this would be talked about ad nauseum by the stooges at ESPN? I have ONLY seen it mentioned here.

Not sure what it even means that his grandfather is "supposed" to be Deacon Jones. You either are someone's grandfather, or you aren't. He isn't supposed to be something he's not.

PS, Condor sounds cool.
