...so he can sit on his couch and watch the Pats in the AFC Championship Game.

You can send him some to this address:

Shawn Merriman
c/o San Diego Chargers
P.O. Box 609609
San Diego, CA 92160-9609

Thanks. I might include a pin-up photo of Brady and a ballroom dancing instructional video. Plus, a crying towel for Tomlinson.

Even though this may be public info, doesnt Ian ask that this not be posted?

I think I'll be sending some popcorn.

Gawd, that's evil.

Hence BRILLIANT !!! :D

It is public info (just got the Chargers' address from their team site,) but if Ian doesn't like it, I'll take it down forthwith.

can someone please do this?

I really want to and i think i may.

But he's not getting that Orville Redenbacker good stuff.

He's getting the cheap Walgreen Brand garbage that's not even Buttered.

Because he's a scumbag.

I am not sure, but was just asking.

FWIW, I believe that the issue isn't so much whether the information is publicly available as whether it is personal info to begin with. This poster just put up the Chargers' main team address, tacking on Merriman's name -- the equivalent of posting "Tom Brady, c/o Gillette Stadium" No biggie, IMO.

I love this idea. It's so..... beautiful. Poetry in motion, man. I'm really sending some, so I hope all of you do too.

You do realize we are the most hated fans? And is that a good idea to get him fired up-- I think they play next year in the regular season....

if he needs to be shipped popcorn to be fired up than he has serious issues and we should send him a truckload.

Usually, people on steroids, even those who aren't professional athletes, need nothing to be fired up.

if I wasnt out in the gulf of mexico on a ship I would definitly get in on this. and no, I do not think this violates the posting someones personel info, because it is not to his address or phone number etc.
I really hope some people send some his way!

I agree. And I think it's a GREAT idea!

No one deserves the popcorn more.

Merriman sent popcorn to Jason Taylor so he could watch the Chargers play the Patriots.

This was after Taylor criticized the NFL for considering a player suspended for violating the league's steroid policy (Merriman) for the league's annual Defensive Player of the Year Award.

(Taylor deserved the award over Merriman hands down, by the way.)

But as far as the popcorn move, my, how classy that was of Merriman.

Wonder why LT didn't call him out on that?

As far as Jason Taylor, all I have to say (in the ghetto vernacular of today's NFL player):

"AFC East Representin', bay-bay. We got your back! We shut that bad-haircut juice boy up and right quick, yo! Peace. Out."

I hope that Jasoin Taylor returns the popcorn to Merriman with a crying towel saying "I think you need these more than I do".

We are the "most hated fans," because fans of other teams are haters of the Patriots and all the success they have had. They also "hate" us because we don't put up with their garbage and refuse to be walked on.

Dont forget to send a Matt Light jersey for him to wear!!!
