The Bills seem to Believe they are now the team to beat in the east with their Solid draft.
We took their best pass rusher.... Anderson is playing for us now and they have a rookie.

Every single member on our DL is better than theirs, not to mention both of our safeties are better

Let them be. It's been a long time since they've had anything to be happy about.

I'll remind Bills fans that Houston had Williams and Anderson two years ago and had the worst pass defense in the league. The following year they lost Anderson and Williams only played 5 games, and they were in the top 5 in pass defense.

It doesn't mean they aren't good players, but it indicates two things:

1) Adding Mario Williams and Mark Anderson doesn't automatically make you a good defense.

2) Losing someone like Mark Anderson doesn't automatically mean your defense is taking a step backward.

Except for Mario Williams i agree, oh and don't forget the kid they drafted last year Derous. But let them be happy, what else do they have there other than Niagra falls and even then they have the crappy side.

They are going to be at least in the top half of teams next year. We have improved over last year IMO ... I think they are more a problem for the Jet's right now. Their improved team could well mean the end of the Rex Ryan era. If they miss the playoffs again Jet's fans will be jumping bridges. With their improved line I do not think they care much what Tebow can or will do.

from your lips.....

Hope Springs eternal. :singing:

Bills fans are turning into Jets-lite.

You don't win Football games on paper.

Fitzgerald hasn't proven he's capable of playing QB at a high level for a prolonged period of time (and realistically, they do lean heavily on Jackson). Until that occurs, the Patriots will remain comfortably a top the division. That said, I do like the moves they have made on defense.

Yeah but from all accounts they've had a really good off season. With their miserable recent history I don't blame them for being hopeful.

What he said.
If they finish ahead of the Rats it coud be the end of Ryan.

Go Bills!!

They will be 2nd in division fighting for wildcard

Actually, the Bills generally have pretty good off-seasons and reasonably good drafts from year to year. It's not the off-season that is usually the problem in Buffalo......... It's the ACTUAL season that is the problem.

I think we are collectively underestimating the Bills. They had a great free agency and a great draft.

Does that put them immediately on par with the Patriots, Ravens and Texans? No.

But I would not be in the least bit surprised it they are one of those NFL teams that annually go from not winning more games than they lost one year to being a playoff team the following season. And if they can continue to make wise personnel decisions they should be setting themselves up to be very competitive for the next several years.

What the Bills did or did not do from 2000-2011 has zero effect on what they will ow will not do in 2012, just like what the Patriots did and did not do from 1960-2000 had zero effect on what they did from 2001 on.

Good point, though they're getting A+ marks for this year aren't they? Anyway, they'll need a franchise quarterback before much changes there.

I think Buffalo will have a good team this year. They will be a big problem for the Jets! The division will be between the Pats and Buffalo, but like every year, Bills will start strong but fade at the end.

Just as an exercise, let's take a look at it. Here's last year's list:

Patriots
Ravens
Steelers
Bengals
Texans
Broncos

So, as a snapshot in time, immediately post-draft, who's out and who's in?

I don't agree. Most posts I've been reading tend to demonstrate a positive disposition toward the Bills actions in Free Agency and through the draft. They definitely appear to have improved. Whether or not they've improved enough to become an elite team is the point.
