I think Chase Minnifield should be considered in play here as well.

If the second round unfolds like this which is arguable, Jenkins has to be the pick.

Of course it's not going to go down like that. Based on round one we'll see another half dozen trades or more in round 2. It's just a kicking off point.

Love Minnifield but with his injury I think he'll be available later. It wouldn't shock me if they took him here though.

Martin is in there. The other three I projected to be gone.

Add Jeff Allen G from Illinois as a possiblility for Pats (#36 on Mayocks top 100)

I like your thinking here, everlong (and your prognostic efforts).

I think that Jenkins, and Johnson will be drafted by 48.

I think that Thompson would rank as a 3rd rounder for us, just based on talent/ fit.

I think that Iloka/ Martin/ Taylor/ Sanu/ Jones fit closer to our later 2nd round pick.

I think that one of Still/ Reyes/ Worthy will be available at 48.

So I think that we're talking:

Still/ Reyes/ Worthy
Boykin CB Georgia
Wolfe DT Cincy
and I think that Casey Hayward will be in the conversation.

and we'll probably grab a developmental guard...

Thank you.

Certainly possible just the way I mocked it up quickly while eating lunch.

Depends if they think they can bulk him up a bit and put him on the nose.

100% agree but being 15 picks apart I included them.

I think that one of Still/ Reyes/ Worthy will be available at 48.

Quite possible. At that point they are all very good value.

Still/ Reyes/ Worthy
Boykin CB Georgia

To grab more than two of these players they have to trade down or trade a player. If they traded down at 48 they could still have two picks in the second and pick up a 3rd or 4th while still getting Wolfe, Boykin and the guard as an example. I think one of those picks is getting traded down.

I just have a hard time with them using a second on a guard with other needs still more pressing.

That's what everyone said last year when they took an OT.

Mankins coming off surgery, Waters in his last year... a case could be made for O-Line, D-Line, DB, WR.

If we came away with Reyes or Still in the second, I'd completely lose it. It would be the most amazing front 7 draft in my memory.

Throw a Jenkins, Boynkin or Johnson in there?????

There's some truth in that but I'd still rather go DL or CB/S.
