Am I crazy?

For his sake i hope he wakes up thinking about something else........lol

Also...browsing the saints forums on the web ,I find it amusing how the same Saints fans who would call Pats cheaters etc are now saying evsdropin is not a big deal and every team does it.................. I for one have long been waiting for the day when some other would get caught in a scandal similar to spygate............ even though i don't have closure yet i should admit this one made me feel good :rocker:

lol. Can't say I've ever called a kick to my own groin before.

They're losing it over there on that poor message board! Guess we would be too.

Predict the next "scandal" that will be reported about us? - SaintsReport Community Forums

Actually, some of these are pretty funny.

I saw on Twitter that Loomis sold Fetchmonster to Michael Vick.

Also, saw on Twitter....Loomis and front office the reason Titanic sank, not an iceberg.

Administrative staff of the Saints video taped running with scissors in 2010.

Saints staff caught with columbian prostitutes.

Saints are part of a terrorist organization

Loomis used a two for one coupon at TGIFridays in 2004 that upon further inspection, was expired

In conclusion, ESPN has "reported" that

1) according to an unnamed source, there was allegedly a system in place that other teams' communications could be monitored, but

2) there is no evidence it was ever used;

3) everyone willing to go on record deny its existence or use and

4) no physical evidence exists to corroborate this "unnamed source" that has remained silent for the past decade.

It's garbage, people.

Bet 10 bucks this Saints fan see's Matt Walsh's story as absolute truth even though all of the above applies ;)

Teams tend to take on the character of their city....
Boston is cerebral and somewhat snobby (admit it, we are butwe have a right to be)
NY considers itself the center of everything.....one team is the buttoned down executive and the other is the loud mouth schlob ( you can figure out which is which)
Philly is blue collar tough....
Washington is just plain screwed up...beyond repair
Indy is personification of middle America
LA when it had a team was tinseltown.....
Dallas is all hat, no cattle
Cleveland is the mistake on the lake
In New Orleans, like Vegas, the rules don't apply....Guess what guys, they do apply and you got caught....

I don't think Bostonians are snobby. I would describe them as very assertive, thick skinned and stressed out.

Nice description of Dallas.

I don't know.

I would have thought it would make me feel better when someone else did something demonstrably worse. But the problem is; at the bottom of every one of these articles they always close out with ......blah, blah blah "LIKE THE PATRIOTS IN SPYGATE".

They just promulgate the half-truths and accusations about the Patriots. If not they at least just reiterate how unprecedented the punishments were without clearly explaining how unprecedentedly minor and not limited to the Patriots the violations were.

Anyway; for today anyway, these are all just accusations without any kind of physical evidence and likely no way to substantiate.

The only way they could is to get a technician who installed it to be given immunity and testify. But, honestly do you think any resident of Louisiana is going to not look over his shoulder for the next 50 years if he did that.

Personally, I will reserve my judgement for now and just assume this is another ESPN 'much ado about nothing' wild accusation spree for ratings purposes.

I found the New Orleans fans who have come here to be among the classiest and best we've welcomed - - and that's not just based on Pherein, it's based on the several that came on in 2009 - - they were great, just wanted to talk football without trolling and really added to the discussion. They were easily the most likeable fan group that I've seen here.

True but I was referring to the city itself and the endemic corruption. I remember being in New Orleans for a conference pre-Katrina and the TV in the hotel gym was on to a news station that was reporting how the local sheriff was arrested for running a chop shop in the local prison using prisoners for labor and how he was the third sheriff in a row to be indicted for one crime or another....Didn't he think that if one of the prisoners were to be arrested for something, they wouldn't rat him out?????
It's being going on since the days of Huey Long throughout the state and in many parishes.....How many of their governors have gone to jail???Edwards for one...

I think most NE fans should have closure about spygate. I would be surprise if the real fans of other teams didn't understand that NE was not the only team doing this. Yeah, it was wrong, but not out of place in the NFL, and the Patriots payed for it, and its over. From my perspective.
I actually find it laughable that any opposing fans, who understands BB coaching ability, thinks he even needed this edge. Or didn't notice that the team never suffered then it was gone.
Its the other fans that use this as ammunition, and the ones that don't care enough to check into it that keeps the wound open.
They constantly throwing of half trues, innuendo , and blatant slurs to anger NE fans and provoke them to relive it again and again. I know that now :), and will completely understand it 3 years from now, lol.

I thought I told you kids not to play unsupervised at saintsreport, your really only going to hurt yourselves :) Some of it is pretty funny though.

Hmm really we are like Vegas? lol. Granted politically we don't accept the party system as being american, and kind of do our own thing, but Im not sure we generate that kind of money, and Im positive our schools are not as good.

Of course they do, I was having this argument with some of them yesterday. It's sickening.

Classy :applaud: no wonder you are well respected on this forum :rocker:

Post 58 in that thread is classic if you are a retro Star Wars fan.

The fail in this one is strong.

Probably, but the logic is still sound. This may or may not have happened, but it doesn't stop being conjecture just because ESPN reported it.

This news doesn't make me feel any better.

It makes me sick that all these players and fans of other teams are the first to jump up and trash the Patriots for being "cheaters" and whatever else they got to say about them, especially concerning Brady and Belichick. But when it comes to the Aints, everyone's quick to defend them and say it's no biggie and blah blah. That everybody's doing it.

I honestly think if the media and other players weren't so jealous of the Pats and their success that spygate wouldn't have been blown up in the way it was. All this crap really makes me sick. There's rumors about Brees not likely showing up to camp because he wants more $, the media and fans are defending him, saying he's worth it. if Brady pulled this stunt he'd be bashed and called 'distracted' or 'too hollywood' for the league. Just another example of why I haven't paid sports media any attention this offseason.

Agreed. As I've mentioned before, I was at the game 3 years ago in NOLA when the Saints killed the Pats and, while there was plenty of good-natured ribbing, there was very little nasty stuff from Saints fans. In fact, the vast majority of their fans and the other people of the city were very welcoming and friendly knowing we were from NE. I'd go back in a second. Not to mention how great the music and food were, and there's no lack of great spots to imbibe, either. I feel bad for their fans who will bear the brunt of all of this stuff for years to come, whether their team deserves it or not.

And......99.9% of those Saints fans piled on when it was the Pats "turn" to be witch hunted. "The EVERYONE is DOING it" phrase was used by two colleagues of mine that are NO fans the other day in response to the bounty scandal. Both of these guys jumped all over me when I used the Everyone does that when it applied to the stealing of signals deal.....which everyone DOES DO in pro football. Well of course I and 2 of my buds that are Pats fans had to remind them of that....and repay the "piling on" aspect. Now comes the newest "scandal"...and I can honestly say that I doubt many teams "wiretap" the opponents space.......wow....tough time to be a saints fan.

For his sake i hope he wakes up thinking about something else........lol

Congrats, sort of. Welcome to the knowledge that Godell overreacts based on what the media says. (E!SPN is the "media"; Fox sports still pretends to have journalistic integrity but is smaller -perhaps because of sticking to "facts". But I digress.)
Bad news for you is the witch hunt will continue as the Saints are the "evil" du jour. Anonymous sources will come forward telling how Brees was on the grassy knoll - Prove it is not true! Then on page 16, section W is the retraction or letter from the - what is the latin tittle of the ignored person that cares about ethics? (No it does not mean "pig lipstick applier" in latin.)
BTW, even if you go 16-0 you will not enjoy a single game. Sorry.:(
