Rumor has it Philadelphia and St.Louis have been in contact with the Browns for the #4 pick. Both teams are needing a DT (although St. Louis could have their eyes on Blackmon) and I think Cox is a guy that's rated a lot higher by NFL teams than he is by mock drafters.

The fantasy of drafting Cox at the end of the first has been long over but now the fantasy of moving up into the top 20 and still getting him seems to be long gone as well.

Rams trade up? A little bit of skepticism - NFL Nation Blog - ESPN

I think the Rams would take Richardson or Claiborne there.

However - if they stay at 6, then Cox is my pick for them over Blackmon. I think Fisher would love a DL with Kendall Langford and Cox at DT with Long and Robert Quinn at DE.

People always seem to forget the cardinal rule. Any "rumors" about prospects after the start of April is probably misinformation.

Fletcher Cox is a good player, but I just don't see him going in the top 10..

That's a scary good DL especially considering with that youth how much better they will all be in 1-3 years.

I see Cox going to the Carolina Panthers.

I think Cox is being vastly overrated.

I love Fletcher Cox, but not so much that I'd trade up for him. I think he's being over drafted against a fairly deep class of DTs... maybe in part because he can fit so many different schemes.

To me, if Cox goes higher, then that will mean a better shot at Brockers, Worthy, Still or Thompson... in that order. The one guy I really don't want for the Pats is Poe, who is entirely a creation of the Combine... bad vibes there.

Unless the position goes on a run. Agree on Poe.

Lets say the front office sees a player equal to Seymour, you would trade both first round picks to get that palyer wouldn't you??

Not saying who that player is, just a theory type question.

First I think that outside of a stud QB, Big, Strong and ubber athletic D Linemen are the hardest thing to find. So if you get a chance to draft a big, strong and super athletic DL like Cox, you need to jump on it, even at #4.

I agree with you 100% on Poe. His tape is nothing special. And we need a big, strong and athletic 3-4 DE type.

Which is why I think we need to trade up for Brockers.

Brockers to us is the best scenario for BB to get a three down player with the least amount of projecting possible.

What if Poe falls to 27. at what stage does his athleticism start to represent value?

I would trade both first rounders to go up and get DE Brockers, if I thought I needed to do that, because I think has the upside to be a Seymour type player.

In reality though,I think we can trade #27 and #48 to get into the #13 to #16 range so can take Brockers there.

This allows us to trade #31 for an early 2012 second rounder and something in 2013 so we can take OLB Curry and FS Martin in the second round. Then we can trade our 3rd rounder for more 2013 picks and we finish with OT Mosley in the fourth. (Who is a converted TE, by the way)

Best case scenario for us is that all the teams pining for Tanneyhill go back and watch his tape. Then they will realize he is NOT a first round QB, but I'm betting they still be willing to trade back to #31 for him. Cleveland could get two desperately needed players and come back and trade with us to get Tanneyhill at #31.

You have no idea, he is not similar to seymour at all. I'll vomit if we move the earth for Brockers or Coples. If either fall to us then its a value pick but please don't let us trade up
