Gronk OUT of Madden Cover Vote!

As much as a feel bad for him since he really wanted it, I am still happy he doesn't get it. I am not one to believe in superstitions, but the Madden Cover Curse has too many coincidences of major injuries to players on the cover that I would rather stay clear just in case the curse is true.

I did like Schefters next tweet, that last year's curse affect Peyton Hillis, Peyton Manning and Sean Peyton!

Finally..get him out of the vote

Voting for the Discount Double Check guy.

Sigh! Thank goodness that's over.

I couldn't careless, but I'm a little surprised, I thought he had a little more popularity.

Looking forward to an injury free year for the Gronk. :rocker:

Not complaining here. Has a Patriot ever been on a Madden cover?

I think Cam Newton will get it, he's young and exciting.

Plus he's got that "million dollar i'm gonna bang your daughter" smile too

Oh man, should I now start a petition against Calvin Johnson since he is a keeper in my fantasy league?

He is vastly popular, and that is why so many of his fans voted for Calvin. They want him to STAY popular. :D

Calvin Johnson (deservedly) gets a ton of coverage on the sports stations and has for the last few years. WE knew Gronk was good in 2010, but the national media didn't really pick up on it until the second half of the 2011 season. Now that he'll start being in the "Best Current TE in the NFL" discussions by the mediots, he'll be much more well known as time goes on.

Flashy QB's and diva Wr's will always win these glamour contests. Although I wouldn't actually put CJ in the diva category. He's a beast.

Exactly why I didn't waste any time worrying about the possibility of him being on the cover--as much as I didn't want him on there.

I figured he'd be in the final 4 players though, but I would've bet anything that's where it ended.

I guess I'll mildly root for A.Rodgers now, as the others (Willis, C.Johnson, Newton) don't have any bearing one way or another on my opinion. If I had to see someone go up against the 'curse' it may as well be Rodgers. Maybe it'll be one less team to have to worry about next yr?

Not really worried about CAR, DET, or even SF to be honest.

Seriously, losing to Megatron isn't exactly a shame.

Cam should probably win it, for reasons stated above.
