Troy Brown is the ultimate Patriot. Off the top of my head, here are some BIG TIME plays he has made for us:

- Forced fumble on 4th and 5, after Brady's interception, to keep us in the game
- Running back a blocked FG in Pitt for TD
- Punt returns for TD in 2001
- The superbowl catch that set up Vinatieri's kick over the Rams.
- Playing defensive back in the playoffs for us.

First one that came to my mind as soon as I saw the topic. It was the day I became a Troy Brown fan. He fell and slipped on that awful Meadowlands turf, on an icy field, landed flat on his back and had the presence of mind to reach up and snatch that pass. The Patriots lose that game if he doesn't catch that ball, instead it's a first down, the drive stays alive, the Pats complete the comeback and win a game that ended up being the difference in securing the #2 seed in the playoffs that resulted in a Superbowl appearance. He should have been activated for that Superbowl.

-Overtime TD catch in Miami

My favorite Troy Brown play was the TD catch against Miami in overtime in 2003 to win the game after they missed a chip shot FG and then turned it over on their next possession. Brady threw a bomb to TB who ran like the wind to seal the win!!!

In addition to the catch-on-his-back vs. NYG in 1996, I'd also add:

- 82yd TD in OT to win in Miami in '03.
- SIXTEEN-catch game vs. KC in '02.
- Pinball TD catch vs. Atlanta in '01.
- (Often overlooked) Long TD catch vs. Tennessee in '03 in 38-31 game.
- (Often overlooked) Leaping grab over Morgan on SB38 clinching drive.
- (Subtle) Running short in-route to lock down Ricky Manning in man-coverage near LOS, allowing Branch to break to sideline behind Manning to catch 17yd pass to set up Adam's SB38 game winner.

Regards,
Chris

Well, thanks for ruining the fun for the rest of us...Great list though!

Patten's 60 yard TD throw to Brown that iced the Colts game in Indy back in 2001.

Can someone please make a wall paper with some of these big plays in it. Troy Brown exclusive wall paper? Thatd be sweet.

One of my favorite T. Brown moments was when he caught Adam V.'s one and only touchdown pass. Classic!

I loved when he got his first career interception against none other than Drew Bledsoe.

No problem. If anyone can help direct me to some good images, I'll make a TB wallpaper this evening when I get home.

He was injured, IIRC.

Regards,
Chris

I'm afraid you don't recall correctly. He could have gone, he was deactivated to make a spot for a special teams gunner (whose name escapes me at the moment). The Tuna screwed the pooch on that one.

There are a lot of great memories on the lists, cant add any ...funny the first one I think of is the third -down catch against the 'Jints when he was on his back, like some other posters. That was a great play! Wasnt Troy a walk-on,or was he a late draft pick?

8th rounder - which should tell you how long he's been around.
