EDIT: I really do not like this player at all. I will not make further comment on what he said because I flat out HATE him. Every time I see what he did to Brady and Gronk , I want to put a bounty on him.
I won't make rational comments, so I will leave it to my brothers at Pats Fans to make rational comments for me.

Pollard didn't touch Wes. He was giving up 40 pounds to Gronkowski and did what he had to do to bring him down 1 on 1. Brady was winding up for a bomb to Moss, and Pollard tried to make a play. I don't see how any of these are objectionable.

I never mentioned Wes.
I was referring to only two players, Brady and Gronk. I respect your rational comments but I still think that the guy is a bum.

All you have to do is correlate the man's actions and his words. He's a marginal player in the NFL with no respect for his opponents. Hopefully the next player he hurts is himself.

Pollard ass landed on Gronk's ankle as he was bringing him to the ground. There was nothing intentional about it. Gronk's one of the hardest players in the NFL to tackle and has made defenders look horrible all year and Pollard ended up in an awkward position trying to bring him down.

I hate the guy for so many reasons. But only the hit on Brady was even questionable, and I'm not sure I really have a problem with it as far as being "dirty."

We can also now add Anthony Gonzalez to the list of Patriot victims of Pollard's play. While I think that he seems to be kryptonite to our players, his hits have been within the rules at the time. That said I do think he knew the likely outcome of his lunge at Brady's legs, and thus also likely that he intended to damage the QB and take him out of the game.

While I don't like his style of play I don't hate him, but I do hate the people that laud him for the damage he has done to opponents (eg T-shirts). Yes football is a physical game and blocking and tackling are applauded when done well but stopping a play is one thing, stopping a player's career or a season is entirely a different matter (and that includes taking someone out so they cant perform and help their team in the next round of the playoffs/SB). The NFL is right to seek ways to limit those type of injuries because they cant afford to have a league with teams falling out of contention because of season ending injuries.

As for Pollard, I do believe that what goes around comes around and his lack of conscience or empathy will have its just reward. I might not see it, but it doesn't matter - people rarely avoid destiny's payback.

Pollard has a patented (almost but not quite unique to him) method of tackling guys who he is behind when they are running away from him. I have seen him do this multiple times and it is disgustingly dirty IMO.

He grabs them (legal tackle part) and then drops his body weight on their lower legs. (Should be illegal - and in my opinion could be loosely defined as a variant of the 'horse collar' tackle which is already outlawed.)
If he is 'lucky'; the runner has his foot planted when he drops his weight essentially guaranteeing an injury.

In part he does this when he can't catch up enough to get the right angle to get a real tackle or when the tacklee is so much bigger than him (Gronk) that he might not be able to tackle one-one.

You can make a claim it is legal by the rules; but CLEAN. No way sir.

Totally disagree ... what Pollard did is still legal in the league but its was meant to take him out. Pollard tackled from behind, like a horse collar tackle, and dropped all his weight on Gronks ankles.

While we are talking about Pollard ... don't forget what he did to Anthony Gonzalez. He shattered his kneecap on a very dirty hit. The man is a scumbag and he is next on the commissioners list.

Goodell is trying to change a culture, and Pollard is part of it. As are fans and mediots who parrot the flag/skirt mentality or glorify clips of ever more violent behavior by often times chemically induced bigger, stronger, faster and more lethal even if less talented weapons... who are so fearful of some things like needles they can't fathom blood testing. Football is an inherently violent sport but that doesn't mean it can't be played in a manner that limits injury to the greatest possible extent. That starts by changing what the culture has become into something a lot more civilized and accountable - which has become more daunting a task than ever before because of increasing wealth and the arrogance it enables among as well as between coaches and players.

Fining them does no good. Like Bill always says, if you want to hurt them, take away their stage. Suspensions will do that. It would help if fans and mediots would stop glorifying and even empathizing with offenders, too.

This guy has cost us 2 or 3 Super Bowls.

Fans can debate the dirty degree but the reality is the guy shouldn't be running his mouth.

I cant fault Pollard for the Gronk play. As stated prior, you have a 6'6' 265lb TE and you need to bring him down. If he jumped on his back Gronk would have kept on running. So he tried to role him up. You see it happen all the time. The Brady was play was as cheap as they come. First of all he undercut Faulk on his blocking attempt. Which I believe is illegal. So he put himself in the position to dive at Bradys knees.

The Brady incident I have questions about, but it was him fighting to the whistle. The Gronk play was just another instance of some poor SOB trying to bring down the behemoth we have as a TE.

I don't think people would be on this guy nearly as quickly if he didn't have something smart to say every time one of these injuries happen. He may not have meant to do any of those, even though only one thing happens when you put helmet to knee, but his comments are never remotely remorseful or apologetic. Even coked-out LT was immediately calling to the sideline when he broke Theisman.

Actually wasn't Faulk.Kevin was suspended for that game for his reefer possession. It was Sammy Morris who tried to block Pollard and failed (should have just dropped on top of him). Had Faulk been in there, he likely makes that block and Brady doesn't get hurt.

So it was the evil weed that tore up Brady's knee!
