I just took the wonderlic I missed 2 questions, how long do they get to take this test?

Yeah i was wondering that too. i missed number 4 which is very annoying, shoulda got that one

ryan leaf - 27
dan marino - 15

the wonderlic is a joke.....many don't take it seriously

they should make politicians take the wonderlic

Ha! Can you imagine what Mumble Menino would get? I'll bet he would not break double digits.

Seriously though: with Claiborne's pedestrian 40 time at the Combine I have to wonder if he will drop....but then again CBs usually go higher than projected because they are soooooo hard to find...

that test is so easy i can't believe anyone pays any attention to it at all. Totally freaking absurd.

Not to mention that cornerback is one of the most instinctive position on the football field. If you have to think you are doing it wrong.

I agree. Consider if he were drafted in 2011, handed a playbook. How successful would he have been in preparing himself until the lockout was over?

Clearly, the Wonderlic isn't a very high bar, but results like this indicate that there is an issue that the drafting team will need to deal with.

While wonderlic may be over rated, especially given the number of kids with ADHD and reading disorders, etc...this observation from Rob Rang bears taking note...

If they can't even figure out what you were verbally asking them...then picking up more complex schemes at the next level may prove difficult, no matter the athleticism or talent.

Clairborne scores four on Wonderlic; others who could also struggle - CBSSports

Are you guys taking this one? NFL Wonderlic Test | Sample Test - Compare Your Score to NFL Players

I got a 30. More difficult then the "sample" one found on the other websites.

Yeah, that's the one where I got a 46 and my 10 year old brother got a 23. I'll excuse Claiborne since he apparently has a learning disability and is smarter than a test like this would show, but it amazes me how Vince Young could only get either 6, 7, or 13 depending what you believe, or how someone like Asante Samuel could only get 10.

My favorite by far is this one:
What is the mathematical average of the number of feet in a yard, seconds in a minutes and months in a year?
It's really:
1. How many feet are in a yard?
2. How many seconds are in a minute?
3. How many months are in a year?
4. What is the sum of 12, 60, and 3?
5. How do you find the average?
6. What is 75 divided by 3?
Which are all fairly simple, yet overwhelming.

Polian was on sirius radio today and talked about this topic. He mentioned the Wonderlic is only important because a team can find out if a player has a learning disability. From there, when he ran Buffalo and Indy, they would make a call to the college coach and college positional coach and talk how they got the player to learn.

Then they followed up with the school and talk to groups that helped tutor the student player and find out how they got him to retain information.

Lastly he said the Wonderlic is math and English.. Just because a young man isn't good in those two areas, it doesn't mean he can't process other data..

It will definitely knock him down a position or two in the first round, but that's it.

Wonderlic varies in importance by position. QBs and offensive linemen need brains. Though a few examples refute its importance--Dan Marino's 15 is prominent, though I have to wonder if he bombed it by a bad attitude--it really should be factored in.

But who cares about the brains of a RB? A CB? I wouldn't be worried.

But back in 2004 I caught some flack pointing out that QB Michael Bishop, who was exciting a lot of pats fans with his ability to throw 80 yard bombs, was simply not able to make the reads quickly enough in his head. His Wonderlic, a back-door IQ test, was pitiful.

I would put him on the pats in a heartbeat......shutdown corners are hard to come by

the pats would be in last place if they selected players according to their wonderlic results

based on your logic, prince amukamara(35) is would be better for the pats than patrick peterson(9)

NEXT!

too bad Claiborne isn't a shut down corner. I don't know where this notion came from but it needs to stop. Just because he's the top corner in the draft doesn't mean he's the next Revis.
