Posting this thread to give our fans the chance to vote on each of the Patriot's selections during this Mock Draft. If you would like to follow along the name of the thread is "2012 Mock Draft Game Player Selections!" Starting now we will have until 2pm tomorrow to submit votes and I or Co-Commissioner broadwayjoe will tally the votes and post the player with the most votes as the Patriot's selection. This thread is for the 93rd selection only and I will post separate threads for the Patriots other selections. Below is how the picks have been made so far for the other teams. Please just post one prospect's full name that you think the Patriots should draft in this thread and we will see who the majority likes. No Trades in this Mock Draft, so don't waste your time suggesting that. I will post an updated list in this thread once all the selections before the Patriots are made. We all know it's a good chance the Patriots will trade during this draft BUT for this exercise we just need you to vote Thanks. I'm posting this a little early to give our fans as much time as possible.

Chase Minnifield.

Minnfield!

I was going with Nick Toon just to spite the Jets buthe was just selected.

This pick is a no brainer if he isn't sniped before, Chase minnifield.

Looks like it's going to be a fruitless exercise but I vote for Marvin Jones. BTW, what's with all the love for Chase Minnnifield?

I too will vote for Chase Minnifield. Best CB on board IMO. I like Marvin Jones but I'm not mocking WR's to us anymore.

1. Chase Minnifield

If he's gone
2. Josh Norman CB Coastal Carolina

I like Marvin Jones but I'm not mocking WR's to us anymore.

This. With 10 WR already on the Roster and the addition of the 4th FB I can see the Pats only carrying 5 WR on the 53 (Welker, Lloyd, Slater, ???, ???) and use Hernandez in more of a WR role.

But for now, only one of our ten will be on the team in 2013 (not sure about Edelman/Slater contracts).

Patriots draft without a Tight End ?
My vote goes to Michael Egnew TE:rocker:

Slater is on a 3 year deal.

Regardless I view 2013 WR as not a problem. We will already have 3 targets signed who will demand a lot of balls thrown their way. We can franchise Welker again (who else would demand the tag?) for roughly 11 million which we can afford to do for 1 season. We then have 2 drafts and 2 FA periods ('13 and '14) to find 1 starter next to Lloyd in 2014. All other WR's on the Pats roster (#3-5) will see less action than almost any other #3-5 WR on another team.

Would it be possible, either in this thread or in the Discussion thread, to post an updated list of available players at various positions? I've lost track after the first 75 or so picks.

I'm also mystified by the love shown to a slow, injured dwarf who was also a teammate of Glas-IR Dowling.

I actually thought Winn was long gone but he has to make it past a lot of 3-4 teams right before us.

If he's there I would take him over Minnifield.

Slater just signed a 3 year deal so he'll be around through the end of the 2014 season.

Edelman, I expect will get an extension some time during the season.

I wouldn't mind the Pats bringing in a youngster, but it's going to be tough with Welker and Johnson guaranteed spots and Slater as the Pure special teamer.

1. Marvin Jones
2. Derrick Wolfe
3. Greg Childs

How about Omar Bolden instead of Minnifield?? With Bolden, we know that he's hampered by an ACL currently, but he's got the skills and mindset to be a top Corner in the league. Plus he knows how to tackle. Not to mention that the Pats just brought him in for a looksee as well.. :D
