1) Who's the other Boilermaker?

2) Ans.: Julian Edelman.

Oh hell, I had Matt Light on the brain. I also fall into the trap that since I like Mike Vrabel (and he can form complete sentances), he couldn't possibly be a Buckeye.

After two weeks of the NCAA Tournament and an anguishing NBA season. I'm going to make a movie. Black Men Can't Shoot(The Basketball)

You ever notice that white guys have names like "Lenny", while black guys have names like "Carl"?

You'll love this. One of my best friends is our local hs basketball coach. His name "Lenny".......LOL

Speaking for myself ~ a devastatingly good-looking white man ~ I was just contributing what I considered a chuckle-worthy illustration of the Original Point...as I assume Brother Wilfork was, as well.

It is a good point, call it a Larry Bird thing.

The problem for almost all of them is that Vrabel was a terrific college player.

Mike Vrabel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"He totaled thirty-six sacks and sixty-six tackles for a loss."

He is the all time sack leader at Ohio State, one of the top college programs.

To say a player is like Mike Vrabel likely means they are white (or at least pale), feel good, try hard type player. Not a dominant pass rushing force like he was, it is actually a slight to Vrabel.

It's really remarkable, in a league that is trying so hard to eradicate any remaining shreds of racism from its image, that you almost NEVER hear any player comparison that crosses racial lines.

I haven't heard anyone compare RG III to Steve Young, for instance.

In all fairness I have heard several taling heads project Cam Newton to become a Ben Roethlisburger type of QB, but it is pretty funny how apparent the racial lines are. I found it very amusing when Nate Burleson proclaimed his desire to be 'the black Wes Welker'.

Has anyone seen games with this guy, I'm thinking that he might be the next Jordy Nelson:rofl:

Didn't really pay much attention to him until they played Michigan in the Sugar Bowl. He had that fabulous catch should/shouldn't have counted. Not as big as Jordy. 6'0" 201 compared to 6'3" 215. More of a straight liner than shifty guy. I'd say comparing him to Brandon Stokely more than White Wes. But, he can punt too.

And, starring in my new blockbuster Black Men Can't Shoot(The basketball) I present the Louisville Cardinals.

Speaking of being able to do a second job,Keuchly was also the back up long snapper for BC last year.

I don't know who I compare Keuchly to, but he is a machine on the football field. He might be the only LBer I have ever seen with instincts better than Bruschi's.

Edelman went to Kent State.

Speaking of overlooked white dudes, has anyone noticed Audie Cole, from NC State? They moved him inside last year, but he looks like a 3-4 OLB to me. He can rush and cover, terrific athlete. The other Vrabelesque guy is Noah Keller from Ohio U. He's more of an ILB, but he's got size and speed and might be worth a late flier, although I'm not sure BB is going to pick from that school again after the Taylor Price fiasco.

what difference does it make? the only white guy you can really compare to vrabel is connor barwin. But the pats decided that darius butler and ron brace were bigger needs. this is what the pats passsed on:

2011 Season in Review: Linebackers

Outside linebacker Connor Barwin, another converted 4-3 end, moved to Williams’ spot on the weakside in Week 7. He finished with a team-high 11.5 sacks, tied for ninth in the NFL and third in the AFC. He also led the Texans with 27 quarterback hits and had seven passes defensed. Barwin was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month in November after leading the league with 6.5 sacks in three games.

Who's Conrad Barton?

I don't think I've ever heard of ANYONE compared to Mike Vrabel! If there were anyone out there who cold play like Mike Vrabel, I'd hope the Pats would take a good long look at him and GET HIM!

While they might have been bigger needs one needs to consider how well they will fill that need, myself and Patchick knew that Barwin was the man and he's fulfilling our expectations, just for another team:mad:
