This has nothing to do with class,it has to do with the entire Charger Team trying to deflect blame for an embarassing loss. They were making Super Bowl Plans in San Diego and now They can join a long line of Teams who have "Canceled those Reservations" at the hands of The New England Patriots.
The Chargers lost and if they look at it objectively ,they contributed mightiliy to The Patriots Victory.
By whining like a 12 year old school girl ,LT doesn't point fingers at his own Team and looks like a caring,Team Guy to his local fans.In truth all He is is another in a long line of MVP's who have lost to The Patriots and don't want to be man enough to step up and explain how it happened. If LT is looking for "No Class",He doesn't have to look far just around his own locker room and in the mirror.
He has no evidence that Bill Belichick started anything yet He blames Him for what happened. This was not a heat of the moment comment. He had showered and cleaned up .He owes an apology to Bill Belichick but I'm sure We won't see it. Afterall, that would take some class.
Don't be fooled by this diversion. Can You imagine how Merriman and Phillips would have acted if The Chargers had won?I'm sure the first word mentioned would not have been classy.Afterall ,isn't any so called "Sack Dance" in truth disrespectful?
The Chargers just don't want to admit the truth. They had every physical skill to win but in the mental and emotional arena They came up woefully short. It's really that simple. If LT was honest that is what He would have said.He just couldn't bring Himself to admit what We all saw yesterday.

Yup. Sad, really. So much physical talent, so little appreciation of the value of sportsmanship. Today's pro sports -- and the NFL shows it most clearly, with its enormous stage for players to stand out after the plays have been done and the cameras are focused on the players who made those plays -- has become too ego-centric. Even great guys like LaDanienan get sucked into the hell of trying to shift responsibility for the results away from themselves and onto others. Really sad to see.

LT should have been called for a face-mask -- blatant as hell -- but he got a pass. I saw a number of holds by the Bolts O-line, but not called.

And Merriman. When we make him into a "god", even after he disrespects the sport by using illegal drugs, he still has the effrontery to do his demeaning sack dances.

I just hope BB and the Patriots can maintain their high standard forever. As long as they do, they will be the class of the NFL.

Despite what LT did..he is the ONLY one to say he lost to a superior team. Marty and Phillip went to great lengths to say what they did wrong to lose the game...not what we did right.

This is the part of the story that I can't believe isn't getting more coverage.

LT said, and people seem to accept, the following: You disrespected us by taunting us with the dance we use to disrespect and taunt people.

Amazing. Said with no irony either.

I have never been more pissed at a team after beating them than the chargers.

Great athlete...ten cent brain

This is exactly how I feel.

If you remember last year's Chargers win was the game after Pittsburgh where we had lost Matt Light and Rodney Harrison. Richard Seymour was hurt during the game. The Chargers beat us in a regular season game and celebrated like they had won the Super Bowl. Wade Phillips and Schottenheimer making classless comments. Some of their secondary saying how we sucked.

Now they get some of their own medicine and can't handle it? F*** you San Diego Chargers. Go home.

I don't get this about what Rivers said either:

" I mean, for as much as everybody said they expect them to win, they didn’t act like it"

Who the hell expected the pats to win?

'cuz they choked on it big time and don't want anyone to notice?

Perfectly articulated.

I wanted to punch LT in the face while watching his conference..
He maybe a good guy, but don't call out the other teams coach

Its what bad sports do. Let them ***** and whine all offseason while the Pats go on to glory yet again. Don't waste your energy. This is just like Pittsburgh back in '01. The Pats have bigger and better things to worry about than holding grudges.

Isn't it nice to again be on this side of the field. Lets face it. The price of success is that other teams and their fans hate you. Its why everyone outside of the NY area hates the Yankees. Yikes, are we becoming the Yankees of the NFL? I love it.

LT and Rivers can't point to the faults of the coaching staff.

RULE: if you have a taunt dance or phrase, expect to get it thrown back at you.

Do the Pats have any dances, or taunt phrases (like "lights out")?

I keep hearing about how classy LT is. Maybe. I used to hear about how good of a guy Kobe was too.

I saw an LT interview where he was asked what he wanted to be know for. He said to be remembered as one of the 5 best RBs. He will probably get his wish, but notice it did not include SBs. I think Brady would have said he would like to be remembered as a player who did as much as he could to win as many championships as he could.

Too bad Rodney Harrison wasn't there...He would have kicked LT's ass

The only two examples of the Pats doing a taunting dance are in response to TO' Eagles dance and Merriman's Lights Out Dance. In other words, they only give back what they get. I give Rivers and LT a pass on this one. It was a hard emotional loss after all the expectations of their fans. Rivers is a rookie and I hope will mature and LT has never before shown a sign of disrespect. LT is a great player and I'm sure regrets his lapse in judgement. Merriman on the other hand is a very talented jerk and his playoff gesture to Jason Taylor shows what a little boy he is.

Geez, there has been more talk on this site about taunting than a truly extrordinary game.
