Posting this thread to give our fans the chance to vote on each of the Patriots selection during this Mock Draft. If you would like to follow along the name of the thread is "2012 Mock Draft Game Player Selections!" Starting now we will have until 12 pm tomorrow to submit your votes and I or Co-Commissioner bakes781 will tally the votes and post the player with the most votes as the Patriots selection. This thread is for the 48th selection only and I will post seperate threads for the Patriots other selections. So lets see who we like as the first second round pick. This is how the picks have been made so far for the other teams. So just enter the players name you think the Patriots should draft in this thread and we will see who the majority likes. No Trades in this Mock Draft. I will post an updated list in this thread once all the selections before the Patriots are made. We all know its a good chance the Patriots will trade during this draft BUT for this exercise we just need you to vote Thanks. I'm posting this a little early to give our fans as much time as possible.

I would say, Chandler Jones, OLB, Syracuse.

Seems to be a Patriots type of player with his Character. Had the height/weight combination that BB likes. Has good burst, LONG Arms. Willing to help others and coach them up.

Chase Minnifield or Shea McClellin.

Nobody say anything. We don't want to tip our hand.

Derek Wolfe! Derek Wolfe! Derek Wolfe!

This is a great chance to Vernon Gholston the Jets again. Lets pretend we're super interested in a crappy player.

Ok PatsFans you are on the clock! List is updated!!

Chase Minnifield, Shea McClellin, or Brandon Brooks are the only three that I think make sense.

I vote Chase Minnifield.

On another note, that was an ugly run off of a lot of players people on this board wanted. If the board plays out like this on draft day I think a day two trade up would be in order. Everyone has been saying that the late 1st and early 2nd is the sweet spot.

Let's add some offensive talent :
Zebrie Sanders RT

I vote Shea McClellin. We are now absolutely desperate for help at OLB/DE.

Bill has no choice but to double-up at this position during this draft.

McClellin isn't the best pass rusher in this draft class, but I think he's the best all-around OLB candidate for the Pats. He has a ton of experience standing up, both at OLB and ILB, and is just about as experienced at dropping into coverage as you could expect from a college pass rusher. I don't think he's an ideal long-term starter at ROLB, but I think he's the kind of player who could start at ROLB early and then become an ideal LOLB replacement for Ninkovich once the Pats pick up a better ROLB candidate in the future.

Alfonso Dennard CB Nebraska should be long gone by now.

His tape is much better than his recent performance at the Senior Bowl and Combine.

I'll go Vinny Curry. OLB is the biggest remaining need and he is good value here. Come back at 63 and grab a CB or WR.

This. I vote for Dennard.

I also vote Denard cb

I'm starting to like Dennard's value at #48. See him as a safety convert.

However, I'm going to have to be loyal to my binky

Jamell Fleming is my vote.
