He neglected defense last year in the draft. The team was VERY lucky that Anderson and Carter performed as well as they did. Anderson in particular overachieved and had his highest sack total since his rookie season.

Now, we're going into next season once again with a weak OLB line up unless BB addresses it in the draft.

All we have is Ninkovich, who is an average pass rusher at best.

Our 2 best pass rushers from last year are not on the roster anymore. Anderson just signed with Buffalo. Carter is coming off a bad injury and is no spring chicken. Who knows if he ever comes back, and even if he does, he probably won't be as effective as last year.

Then there's Cunningham, who I have no faith in after he basically sat out all of last season.

Trevor Scott is an unknown in our system. Basically a JAG. I doubt he will perform as well as Carter and Anderson did last year. He could be another Burgess for all we know.

No, and for about the 5th season in a row it will piss me off.

He will if it's he thinks it's the best course of action. That's all there is to say.

He will not, and the board will freak out.

He'll pick a DB with one of the two 1st round picks, and will trade the other for a 1st next year...

No.
Don't get your hopes up. You will only set yourself up for dissapoinment.

Need has little to do with what BB will pick first. It all depends on who's there(IF someone is there he feels worth taking that high). The only time we really drafted a glaring need first was Ty Warren and if it wasn't specifically Ty available who knows what he would have picked.

The way the draft board is looking to shape up I think the value at the end of the 1st is going to be in the OL, LB, and CB prospects. DT and DEs are going to fly off the board early. I can see us taking a flyer on a OLB in the 2nd but the only way we're getting an impact DE/DT in the 1st is if we move up 10 or so spots.

this is the weakest Draft for DE's and OLB's in about 5 years and the pats are picking 27th and 31th so all the high profile pass rushers will be long gone, im hopeing for one of the DT's and a DB i dont see them Drafting a DE/OLB higher then the 3rd round

Obviously the sole motive of any decision that Belichick makes is to antagonize message board posters; haven't you figured that out by now?

we're getting a Center, a FB, a TE and another second next year book it

No.

We will trade away both first round draft picks to buy back Tom's soul from the Devil.

Or something.

Wow...Douche Awry, is that you?

Who would have guessed somebody could actually make Keyser Soze look like the not dumbest guy on the thread.:rocker:

Ahhhhh....like....where exactly did the "two best pass rushers" from 2011 come from?

Let me guess, in your infinate wisdom you had Carter AND Anderson dialed in as FA pickups with double digit sack seasons?

Real superstars in waiting....like not JAG's

We straight

I'll be happy with half of that, one DB and PASS RUSHER

Solder was need, we had no LT on the roster.
McCourty was need
Mayo was need
Wilfork was need
Graham was need
Mankins was need
Meriwheter was need
Maroney was need
Seymour was need

Those are just the first rounders. The only first round pick that hasn't clearly fit need is Watson, but we have also strived for 2 TE offense, so thats probably need too.

Guess what any rookie we bring will be an unknown at this level also.

Where do you get this stuff, you honestly are comedy gold.

Do you live ina bubble where you are all powerful chief scout of VrabelJr Sharks, who are an invisible 33rd team in the nfl?
