Drew Brees has tweeted the world that he is shocked wants to see an explanation from Sean Payton.

The Saints are really screwed if Brees doesn't attending offseason practices and fully support the team going forward.

I think the Saints have no choice now but to break the bank for him and give him Manning $$$.

Brees to the Fins anyone?

Wonder how long til the Jets declare they are pursuing Brees ...

Brees to the Fins anyone?

They can't even talk trade until he signs the tender, because they slapped the exclusive franchise tag on him, which means he's NOT free to negotiate with other teams.

I understand that. He does appear to be very unhappy there in the past few weeks.

Players can be let go for moral reasons. Can he leave the Saints because the team has been immoral? :)

Tebow should have insisted on a morality clause for the Jests. :D

Incidentally, this is my first post since the loss. I couldn't think about football until now, just too bummed. So, I'm back beatches...Get ready for my kindergarten-@ss lame questions again.

I think you are misconstruing what he tweeted. He wants an explanation from the league of why his beloved HC, one of the finest men he's ever known, was suspended...

This from the same clown who claimed no "real" knowledge of the program... Brees is a fraud, just like his HC. They all knew and they just assumed they would get away with it.

agreed. I find this very aggravating. he doesn't want an explanation from his coach, he thinks he DESERVES one from the league. The great Drew Brees feels entitled to an explanation from the NFL as to why his team that is trying to end the careers of opponents was penalized this way.

Wasn't he supposed to be deeply involved in the player's union and fighting for their safety and a bunch of other crap??

He seems like a fraud now.

I think it may be years before the Saints recover from this.

Brees has always been a fraud in my mind. I'm almost sure he's the one who ratted out the Saints because he couldn't get his 23 million dollars.

He's been acting like he is the Great Drew Brees ever since the San Diego incident, where he told anybody who could interview him at the time, that the Chargers would've been better off with him.

I could careless about that gold-digger and what ever 'explanation' he feels entitled to.

if somehow brees now demands a trade

forget about the contract peyton just undeservedly got

brees' new one on a new team will be monstrous

Why would he want to diminish his SB title, team and HC?

I heard the snitch was Jeremy Shockey.

I'm sure that Brees will be interviewed in the days to come. We all saw the tweet. I agree that it could have been interpreted in different ways.

I've just read the tweet, and agree with MoLewisrocks, I think he's demanding an explanation from the league, not from Payton. And well, it's another hint of his real personality, like the lockout negotiation in which he demanded the franchise tag exemption, and his reaction after being placed the FT.

C'mon guys. Brees isn't a "fraud". He's upset over what's happened to Peyton and probably frustrated that he still doesn't have a new contract. He should have kept to himself but it's funny that some of you think this tweet makes him a fraud.
