Re: BJGE to Sign with Bengals.

Let the Ridley/Vereen era begin.

Re: BJGE to Sign with Bengals.

If true goodluck BJGE. A great player to root for here and I hope he proves even more people wrong in Cinci.

Re: BJGE to Sign with Bengals.

Better there than the Jets.
Ridley and Vareen its on you.
Would anyone be upset if they traded for Richardson?

Re: BJGE to Sign with Bengals.

I'll miss him. Best of luck, Benny.

Would be the worst trade of the BB era.

I'm glad that BJGE has attained the level of success that he has, and I wish him all the best.

That said, I am excited to see what Ridley and Vereen can do.

Good luck to him, I couldn't stand to see him on the Jets but he gets to go to a pretty talented young team over there in Cincy.

Ridley and Vereen now get their chance, and I expect we'll acquire another back.

Re: BJGE to Sign with Bengals.

If true, good for him. I will root for him since we don't play the Bengals this year, and it's way better than the Jets.

Pats will need to replace him, but it doesn't have to be a starting caliber guy. Just a vet for depth would suffice, assuming Ridley/Vereen make some progress.

Um I would be. The Pats have talent on RB, they need to use their resources to get defensive guys.

Agreed. It's Ridley/Vereen time as the 1-2 punch with Woody hopefully playing all the time like he did in the SB.

Re: BJGE to Sign with Bengals.

I really hope Ridley can fix his fumbling issue, the good thing about Benny was that you could put the ball in his hands and he wouldn't turn it over, if you've got 4 GREAT receivers and a HOF quarterback throwing them the ball, people are going to question why you would ever put the fall in a runningbacks hands if he starts putting it on the ground.

Re: BJGE to Sign with Bengals.

I predicted that days ago

The Bengals had nearly 50M in cap space and had to do a decent deal eventually.

I wish BJGE the best in Cincy... He proved many Maroney jock strap washers that he was a better football player than the highly regarded Maroney and he was a nice addition.

Cincy is going to get a player that never fumbles and runs as hard as he can...He won't ever be a game changer, but he can move the chains.

Yes even though if a highly rated RB falls to us i hope we are unwilling to pass. Never have enough of those guys...that said Good for BGE hard worker and professional. I will always cheer for BGE.:)

Re: BJGE to Sign with Bengals.

Plenty of RBs still available

Re: BJGE to Sign with Bengals.

I liked what I saw from Vereen in minimal snaps and hopefully Ridley gets over the fumblitis. One thing you can always say about Lawfirm is you knew he wouldn't put it on the turf, wish we could keep him but a team with 2 recent running back picks, a pass oriented offense, and needs to focus on defense now isn't going to pay him.

He fumbled only twice all season. Its not like its an epidemic

Chris Polk or Lamar Miller might be drafted in the 3rd round by NE and would give the Pats some competition for an unproven Vereen in his 2nd year.
