I'm not picking on the guy......however,TBC was awful on run support, today.Overmatched, when Seymour was double-teamed.

He's just poor against the run, lacks speed, and has little instinctive skills. In the red zone,at least one time,
he was replaced by Larry Izzo!.

I don't think we have any choice..... But,against the run and setting the edge......this guy is terrible.

Remember what BB says.....sacks are overrated.

This guy is a problem that I'M not sure we can cover for, much longer.

TBC will be much more useful against the Colts next week than he was today.... Although I agree with you he was getting smoked today. Not having Seau around really hurt.

That Izzo run was comlete deja vu from earlier in the season. I pray BB doesn't go back to Izzo any time soon.

he had a down game .. he froze a lot and let Neal get behind him and he didnt seal edge at times.

Not to worry. One thing about this team, when they have a bad game, they know it, and it rarely happens in the next game, they make up for it in big ways.

I'm not making a comment on the defense,Nem.really.I thought they were good today. However,I think TBC is a serious liability and is going to be exploited.

I think we're going to see much more 4-3 against Peyton and the Colts.Jarvis Green and more nickel
and dime packages.
Just,MO.

He had a bad game. No use in complaining, we can't change it. He's played well before, hopefully him and seymour will have their heads in the game next week.

Hey, NEM, we are talking about LT here...he may not be able to adjust to being out of the playoffs, but there is no RB better at adjusting while rushing.

LT aint walkin' thru that door nomore, if we survived today, we'll survive with him.

Tully is a good olb.....Ok,he had a bad game....He is going to kick ass next week....We need to resgin him bottom line....GO PATS!!!!:rocker:

TBC will have a good game next week.

Tomlinson would make the best linebackers in the league look bad - Don't look at this game as a staple of TBCs play,We face Addai this week,Hes good as a rookie, but nowhere yet in the class of LT and TBC should hopefully be more of a factor.

Tully deserves a shot at being an all around OLB next year. A good training camp might be all it takes ... he has the tools.

A bigger question would be Ellis Hobbs.

Ellis Hobbs, today was a WARRIOR!,say what you will about his deficiences this year, but, today,he took on the "big boys",and stood tall.

Lets see, Hobbs stripped the ball from Gates and was working against their 6'5" high jumper all the time, causing him to drop more balls than he caught. I don't know why TBC gets called out when Sey was getting owned by that rookie LT. I'll try to recheck my impressions on film, but I thought Sey had a poor game and was the weakest link on the line - perhaps he was hurting or ill because Green spelled him several times. I will agree with Simms when he gave the Chargers' O-line props for being much better than he had thought.

I argee with you,Box,Seymour had an average game,at best.I'm just saying that TBC is a liability against the run and in dropping into coverage.
I know you have been an advocate of TBC,this season, but,I've got all the plays on tape, too, and I've concluded that he will be a liability as we drive to the SB.He was constantly single-blocked,today,
and was unable to adjust and hold the edge.

There's a reason BB/SP haven't chosen to use Cap
Space on him........They're looking for better alternatives.I agree......I wouldn't overpay for TBC.

He's:JAG......"just another guy".

Well, we'll disagree on TBC and let BB/SP sort it out. I don't remember Sey getting doubled, though those are things I need work through tape to get it right. I noted in another thread that I didn't think any defender individually had a great game, but as a team they put it together.

I've already taped it and transferred it to DVD,McNeil for the Chargers was terrific,TBC was getting pancaked, half the time.
I put it on DVD......just the defense, also, and I can Zoom in on a particular player. It's not pretty.

I think you also need to take into consideration that he was getting blocked by either Manumaleuna or Lorenzo Neal a majority of the time. And there were a couple times the Pulling guard picked him up. Manumaleuna is over 300 lbs. Lorenzo Neal is over 260 and runs in the 4.7 range and the guards are over 300 also.

That's a lot of beef to be running at you.

I think you are over-reacting. Calling hima liabilty is iver the edge. He would be our weak spot on the Dline, but again when Colvin, Seymour, Wilfork, and Warren are up front that isnt saying much.

TBC's best attribute is the pass rush. It was in college and still is now. It seemed as if SD singled him out and tried to run at him because the was weaker than the other 4. That certainl does not make him a liability. He has had many more fair to good games than poor.
