And as a sign of my respect for him, I smiled during his press conference when he was sniffling about not wanting to wear any other uniform other than "black and gold".

He played the game hard and if he was one of ours, I imagine we'd treat him like we do Rodney.

Who cares, really?

Glad he's done.

He was both a Steeler and a cheap shot artist so **** him. I don't care how hypocritical it is to hate him and like Rodney. The only slight respect for him I have is that he chose to retire over play for another team.

Opposing fans are too sensitive. Ward was a good player. Made his team better. Played hard. I don't have anything against him.

Cheap shot artist.

Still thinks the AFCCG beatdowns were the work of "Spygate".

Retired because nobody wanted him.

Cries all the time.

Pretty much sums it up. **** him, I'm not going to pretend that he's worth praising now, just because he finally retired.

Good player and great blocker

I wish him health and fortune in his post-playing days.

That's why I thought it was worth posting..hence the smile I had.

and that has to be a sign of wanting to retire. Worked for Jason Taylor too.

He was on dancing with the stars.

That was the most boring retirement presser I've ever seen. He kept repeating himself about nothing.

This. Would have been beloved as a Patriot. Played the game tough, a rarity at a position populated by Divas and "me first" headcases.

Never mind the spygate crap. Respect.

Great player imo...a cornerstone for the Steelers during the last decade and a good performer in the playoffs.

this should prevent more injuries than moving kickoffs forward.

Bye Bye Whines Hard ...you A-Hole

Clutch receiver and better blocker, he was one of the Steelers I really liked. He certainly would have been beloved as a Patriot. I wish him well. Then in several years he can take his place in the hall of the very good, because he's not a HOFer. JMHO

Dirtiest receiver to ever play the game. Cries like a little b*tch about everything. Plus, he's a Steeler and is retiring a Steeler. I loathe everything Steeler. F him. Go have another drink - and get someone else to drive, you dolt!

And is this some kind of joke? HOF receiver? Riddle me this? If Reed and Carter can't get in, why on God's green Earth would this pile of filth get in?
