What was wrong with Brady?

There were some flat out bad passes. And some where it's tough to know if it was Brady or the receiver. He knows the Cover Two like the back of his hand, though, he should be comfortable next week.

it could have been the press coverage. plus the constant pressure. the bolts were able to get pressure with minimal people, but the line did a great job. it allowed the bolts to drop more into coverage.

Yeah, his two INT's were just bad throws. He actually had more time to throw than he thought. He just made some bad throws. Better to make them now than in the AFC Championship Game.

Brady's shoulder is still bothering him,that's why he's constantly warming up on the sidelines.

It's not my opinion,Phil Simms has been saying this all season long.

No one else has had the guts to put themselves on the line,like Simms has.

IMO,he's right......it's not a major problem....however.......something's amiss,when a QB is constantly having to get loose during the game.

Champ Bailey Syndrome.

He needs a hypnotist.

I still believe he is , psychologically, afraid of a corner stepping in fronot of those sideline routes (short and mid) that he is either overthrowing or throwin way too low. Its a mental block, as I have said, IMO.

Nothing serious, just something that has happened ever since Bailey stepped in front of that pass in the end zone last year.

Since then, Brady has been very, very eratic on those short sideline out patterns. Coincidence? Maybe, but I think not.


I will be glad to help him overcome it.

If brady needs a hypnotist then manning needs a total brain wash. he has BB syndrome and every time he sees red white and blue he goes into convulsions.

Ugly game for the most part from Tom and we cant have that next week, we need a big game from him. But when we needed it most he stepped up and never looked back!

His mechanics were very sloppy early, and only improved marginally as the game progressed. Thankfully, that sweet deep ball to Reche was fluid quarterbacking perfection.

I seriously can't believe we have a prolific QB on the Patriots! Think back six years and then realize where the Pats are now. It's surreal! I mean, if the pundits pick against the Brady/BB Pats again don't believe them....

I don't know about the shoulder injury, but I didn't think there was anything "wrong with Brady." I just think he was playing against a fierce rush and had his receivers covered far too well. One INT was clearly a miscommunication with the receiver who didn't cut when he thought he would. Otherwise, I'll have to see the replays on TV.

Very well said! Brady just played poorly at times. It's that simple. It wasn't "constant pressure" unless by constant pressure they mean playing in a big game. SD has a high octane pass rush. I seriously doubt Brady or anyone on the Patriots thought that there weren't going to be some plays where Brady was going to have to get rid of the ball quick. Credit SD for their coverage scheme and coverage play. Credit the Patriot OL for doing a good pass protection job. Credit Brady for hitting the passes that he just had to hit for the Patriots to win. Brady didn't play well at times though. Again, it's just that simple. And yes, he will need to play better next week. Indy has had 2 highly sub par offensive games. Odds are they are going to eventually put a few TD's up. Let's hope we can call some running plays that will net some solid yards against Indy, and not have to have Brady do it all.

The man lead them to 11 points in the last 4 minutes. Lets not take this for granted.

This reminds me of a game he had in Buffalo in 2001. He stunk the whole day but when it mattered, he came up big, leading them on a drive to tie the game, and then to win it in OT. Thats when I knew he was great. What matters is that you are great when you have to be.

He has turned Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney into good NFL receivers!

I'm still convinced he has a slightly frayed rotator cuff. Eventually he'll need surgery for it. Good athletes can play through it, strengthen up other muscles to compensate.

If he truly does have an injury all I have to say is perhaps we have not seen his best ... imagine that???
