Peyton Manning and either Alex Smith/Matt Hasselbeck/Tim Tebow... looking to sit down somewhere.

Miami looks like a panhandler begging players to consider them...

From Twitter @jasonlacanfora (3years $26 million / $10 million guaranteed) for Flynn

Assuming Flynn is no flash in the pan, the NFC has become the QB conference, the AFC not so much. What a turnabout.

Wow, the dolphins offseason just keeps on getting worse. I guess they are going to be looking at Tannehill in the draft and another year with Matt Moore.

It must suck to be a Dolphin fan.

I thought ...everyone wants to play in Miami....:p

I guess he didnt like there low-ball offer.... I bet Alex Smith is going there ....

Ownership is the problem there, from what I've been reading. I haven't talked to anyone from down there lately, so I don't have any inside info at present.

That's a phenomenal deal for Seattle. At roughly 9m a year, and 10 guaranteed, if he doesn't work out, they can cut him after the first year with minimal losses.

We'll see much more in a couple of days. If Manning goes to SF, then Smith goes to Miami. Of course, Miami could sign Smith in advance of the Manning decision.

Aparently Garrard's visiting the Fins as well. It keeps getting better and better!! :rocker: Next I assume they'll give McNabb a try. If that even failed one would wonder if they still have "Coldpeppers" on speed dial.:D

Boy the Dolphins really misjudged this preseason. They better sign Alex Smith pretty quick before the 49ers lose out on the Manning sweepstakes.

A team that has a major attendance problem will see it worse this coming season. Every couple years it's looked like a possible Phin resurging defense and then BAM! disaster follows. This time it looks worse than usual. It starts with ownership. Thankfully Kraft did not have a big football ego and was a fast learner from his mistakes as a new owner.

My neighbor is a dolphins fan. He's a great guy otherwise... man it sucks to be him today.

I will throw one for consideration. Alex Smith goes to the Browns and replaces McCoy. Cleveland Browns President Mike Holmgren runs a west coast offense. Would not Smith be a great fit? Smith had a decent year.
The Browns are preparing to go after Tanneyhill who is years and years away.

Smith is only 27.

This might be the best fit of all the QB movement other than Peyton.

Another hunch. If Manning goes SF, Flynn is now gone to Seattle, Hasselback and Tebow stay where they are, Hoyer to the Broncos is another fit and a cheaper option for Elway. Adam Weber (who?) an unheralded rookie from U Minn) is their only other QB on the Roster.

Pending how much Elway will allow Tebow reign, Hoyer could compete.

Maybe the Dolphins should call Jamie Fox and see if he wants to QB. He was a big star for the Miami Sharks in Any Given Sunday and Stephen Ross loves to kiss up to celebrities. A match made in heaven. Miami can get Beamer Fever again.

if Smith got a 4-year deal with SanFran, I have no doubt he'd be a top-12 QB by the end of the deal. If he goes to his 8th OCoordinator in 8 years, man... I don't know.

Matt Moore was good last year, he certainly isn't a franchise QB but not sure why people expect Smith or Flynn to be it either...RGIII or Manning surely was the play for them...now sit back have another year with Moore (6-6 last year, started 0-3).

I think I might have preferred Flynn in MIA over Gerrard. Gerrard was a pretty good starter Flynn a pretty good backup worthy of a shot. Gerrards issues are health he has a back issue and he had surgery which could have fixed the problem.

What I would like:

- Dolphins to panic and overpay Alex Smith while keeping a cheaper and capable Matt Moore on their bench
- Broncos to sign Peyton Manning (Bud Adams doesn't deserve Peyton and I would hate for the Pats to be stuck with Manning, Moss, and Manningham as a road block in the SB)
- Tebowmania flips the f#ck out
- 49ers left staring at David Garrard as their new starting QB
