The ACL injury was in November of 2010 so it is understandable how his performance in 2011 could have taken a dip. He'll be 22 months removed from the time the injury occurred when the season starts, so hopefully the Pats will see the 2009 version of Scott when he had 43 tackles (38 solo) and seven sacks for the Raiders. He's missed a total of six games in his career, all in 2010 after that ACL injury, so I don't know if it's entirely accurate to characterize Scott as 'injury prone'.

Trevor Scott could and I emphasize COULD be a kind of Mike Vrabel kind of player.
Big kid, relentless pass rusher, understands and appreciates the game, love the budget signings so far.
As everyone has said Lloyd Landry time.

From a purely physical standpoint, it's hard to argue against a 6'5", 255 pound pass rusher who runs a 4.54, has a 6.84 3-cone, and benched 32 reps. If he's back to his pre-ACL tear explosion, he could be awfully productive. And he's got NFL experience at both 4-3 DE and 4-3 OLB, so 3-4 OLB shouldn't be too difficult from what he's done before.

The guy did have 7 sacks in 10 games in 2009. Another guy who has been hampered by injuries. A low risk, high reward type of player. Not expecting much, but could be this year's Mark Anderson.

He was once a star tight end at Potstam High School. Should be real blue collar BB type coming from this town in northern NY. (in the middle of nowhere).

May he stay healthy.

He sounds like this years ...carter and anderson....and yes it takes time to come back from an ACL...I had it done and I wasnt close to 100 % after 1 year. Besides the lost of strength, it also affects you mentally....as you do become tentative and "think about" the injury. So, I see this as a signing with tons of upside.....
