2012 7 ROUND MOCK DRAFT

OFFICIAL START TIME & DATE - Saturday March 17 at 8:00 AM EDT

DO NOT MENTION UNDRAFTED PLAYERS IN THE DISCUSSION THREAD MOCK DRAFT AREA OF THIS FORUM

THAT IS THE PRIMARY RULE

THE REST OF THE RULES

1. Between the Hours of 8 AM and 12 MIDNITE each GM has up to two hours to submit his pick, but that does not mean he has to take all two hours ... the faster you can make the pick, the sooner we can keep the process moving

2. The clock stops at 12 MIDNITE and restarts again at 8 AM, so if you go OTC at oh say, 10 PM, you will have until 8 AM the next morning to submit your pick, that would equal two hours in total when the clock is active

3. You may continue to submit picks after 12 MIDNITE, that just means the clock is inactive, but you may continue to submit picks if it's your turn and you're still awake ... in fact, please do!

4. If your pick is approaching and you realize you may not be available to make the pick in a timely fashion, or make the pick at all, it is your responsibility to find a poster you can rely on to submit the pick on your behalf ... you can either send him your picks via PM or simply allow him to make the choice as he sees fit, but the responsibility is YOURS (Commissioner Broadwayjoe will be available in the evenings from 6-10 pm and Co-Commissioner Bakes781 will be available in the daytime from 9 am-5 pm if you need someone to send a PM to in fact I encourage you to do that and on the weekends send your picks to Broadwayjoe)

5. Anyone who misses their 1st RD Pick will automatically be replaced by an alternate GM. Missed Picks and/or habitually taking too much time and slowing down the draft to a crawl will also result in banishment from this mock draft

6. Newbie’s don't get a second chance ... you have to prove you can be trusted to keep the commitment because right now it's a guessing game ... so one missed pick and YOU'RE OUT

7. Let's keep it fun ... we're all adults here, we know where the line is crossed between good natured ribbing and mean-spirited personal attacks .. a little trash talk is fine, but personal attacks will not be tolerated

8. Make sure your PM's are activated and your mailbox is not maxed out so we can send OTC (On the Clock) alerts

9. After you submit your pick, please post an OTC for the following GM/Team and PM that GM an OTC alert as well ... DO NOT wait for someone else to do it .. this is by far the most important rule in regards to keeping the draft moving at a steady pace and every GM must comply

10. If the clock expires on a GM, the first MOCK GM to submit a pick for that team stands, but you cannot submit a pick for that team if your own selection is one of the proceeding five picks .. but if that GM is being replaced we will let the new/alternate GM start by submitting that pick .. if someone else "wants in" and the alternates are not available, we can give the team to that poster who "really" wants to participate for the remainder of the draft and not just to submit that pick

11. If you are on the board when you are OTC, and you split without submitting your pick, clock or no clock that is grounds for immediate dismissal

12. NO TRADES

13. As Commissioner I reserve the right to change, edit, add too or subtract from the rules if necessary

I will post another thread 24 hours before the Patriots selection in the Draft Forum with the title of "Voting on Patriots Selection #27 Only!" and so on so the Patriots fans can vote on each of their selections. Try to follow the draft as closely as you can so you can make a selection that will count.

sorry, I just had to do that.

Pumped to get this started tomorrow.

Indy is a lock and I have a good idea for Arizona depending on how the board falls.

You could check with the commish if you could pick early.

Sorry for the delay. My alarm decided not to go off this morning and I was up late last night.

Colts pick Andrew Luck QB Stanford.

Redskins are OTC

Pretty what should happen so far with 1,2,3.

The next pick can go several different ways.

So I panicked just now and have been trying to check on my phone the picks. I must have read it wrong so I just pm broadway joe a couple times that I wanted RG3 because I swear on my phone it said washington did not take him. Anyways, sorry for that Joe. Smarter minds took my other pm selection of Claiborn so thank you.

You are quite welcome Claiborne was a good pick. At least the Browns will have the chance of having 2 good corners.

I think it's a bit early for Poe. I see him having a similar rise and fall as Phil Taylor had last year once people see some tape on him.

Martin as the second OT off the board to Buffalo is a bit of a surprise since they still may resign D. Bell and Chris Hairston is slated to take over at LT if they don't. Erik Pear is locked in at RT for the Bills as well. But this is Chan Gailey we are talking about so anything is possible.

I really wanted Claiborne for Tampa but a good pick up by the Brown's who I thought might grab the WR....Joe was lucky at #6 with the Rams. I just like Ingram alot and do not trust Coples to produce right away in the pro's. Should be a good rest of the first round but we are moving nicely today on day one!!

You're correct I did not think I would get Blackmon for the Rams. Once Tampa signed V Jax in free ageny I was mostly worried about Cleveland.

I think it's likely to happen IRL. Holmgren doesn't draft 1st round WR. Having 2 Shutdown CB's though would fit his MO.

I'm pretty interested in Cleveland's draft this year. If you can get 2 shutdown corners that is a step in the right direction. I might be in the minority here but I think if they put some weapons around Colt McCoy he just might work out for them.

So does Seattle have until 4:49pm and then I get to pick after that for Arizona?

I took Quinton Coples, but in reality Miami should trade down and grab a pick or two in the 2-3 rounds where they can draft a bigger need at safety, WR, or QB. In the draft I could see Miami taking for Riley Reiff or David DeCastro (if they think he can play tackle) as the OL is more of a need then the DL, but I decided to draft for value.

We are moving pretty good and are ahead of schedule. Hopefully he will come online and make the selection but you can always PM me your selections and I will take care of it. According to the schedule the deadline is 4 pm tomorrow. Hopefully this won't be the case but if some of you need to do something just PM your selections to me and it will get posted.

You've got my two person Big Board from earlier so just use that for the Cardinals if I'm not on after 30 min OTC.
