Dolphins may steal Mark Anderson away

If we make a return to the 3-4 base, I think we only need one of Anderson/Carter back. I'm torn on which one though... I like Carter's game better, but his health concerns might tip me in favor of Anderson. Either one would be useful in sub packages though.

Anderson is a lot younger and had as many sacks in far fewer snaps. Anyone know their actual pressure #'s vs number of snaps played?

Carter is more versatile, but still, he's coming off of injury and is older.

This is a tough call…Carter LOOKS live McGinest when the helmet and pads go on…but it is hard to argue against Anderson's durability, youth, and production. I'd love to find a way to keep them both.

All you can ask is that he gives them a chance to match or counter. Maybe if the Fins give him 3/12 the Pats offer similar with clauses to make it more.

i think if he was willing to take 4 million per the pats would have signed him alredy a 10 sack DE in he's 20's can get 6 or 7 million easy

Obviously if a team is going to pay that kind of money thank you for your service. TBC had that one good year and then not so much.

I'm torn here. Anderson did a very nice job, but Carter was beastly, and keeps himself in mind-blowing shape, so I'm not all that worried about his quad. Ideally, I'd love to see them both back. Add Fanene, and probably at least one first-round pick, and that's a nasty line with a lot of depth. They could get at the QB all game long.

Carter is more complete than Anderson. I don't feel any real burning desire to see Anderson back in 2012

Wow, the Title here has a bit of homerism entitlement in it, yah think?

Perhaps, "Anderson may choose Dolphins over Pats" would be more appropriate? He's not property.

Having him in the AFC East isn't the best scenario, unless he's a Patriot

Free agent DE/OLB Mark Anderson will visit the Titans Saturday, and has another visit scheduled with an undisclosed AFC team.
The Dolphins are a ''strong contender'' for Anderson, but he's expected to ''make the rounds'' before coming to a decision. Anderson's preference is to return to New England, though he'll almost certainly earn a bigger contract on the open market.

Titans will be a contender once Peyton signs. So, Anderson probably be gone... IMO

Mark Anderson ..... meh!

The New England Patriots need to retool the defense via the 2012 NFL Draft.

I won't be too bummed out if he goes elsewhere, especially if he's trying to get a big pay bump.

He was solid last year but has too much TBC in him. Feel like he's usually a couple steps late and mostly records coverage sacks.
