Is St. Patrick's Day too early to ask for a Christmas present?

Good news, assuming she's right, which I suspect she is.

I was really disappointed with the fact that the Pats had no shot of landing a big defense player like Williams/Carr. But if they sign both Lloyd and Landry (and maybe Trevor Scott), have to say I'd be pretty satisfied with free agency this year.

I don't think there are too many who would agree that Carr has proven himself to be a 10+ million, upper echelon CB at this point. The same certainly goes for Finnegan. They really benefitted from a lack of 'top talent' CB's in free agency this yr, and the Rams and Cowboys both overpaid for them, at least IMO.

Neither one is worth that much money. I would certainly doubt that either one were anywhere near our radar.

lloyd makes such remarkable catches

would have loved to see sd pursue him

He's also rumored to be a bit of a malcontent if things don't go his way.
Christian Fauria, who played with Lloyd while with the Redskins, had little if any praise for him.

You guys did pretty good in FA, if I'm not mistaken.

I can't say that I've honestly paid that close of attn, but IIRC, you did make some respectable moves.

I absolutely love that rookie WR from last yr, I think his name is Brown? I think that kid's got as much potential as V.Jax in that offense, especially with Meachem on the other side and Rivers at QB.

If you retained Tolbert, I've have to think you'd be pretty damn happy with FA this yr, no?

I think anyone would be a malcontent if they had to play for the Redskins.

That aspect should be muted a bit with the relationship he has with JMcD.

Meachem is pretty darned good....hard to replace a talent like Vjax of course

They've got that Vincent Brown kid too. He absolutely tore it up the couple/few times that I saw him. Great game on prime time TV.

Deep balls like it was nothing. Going up and snagging everything in his path out of mid-air.

The kid looked incredible. I'd be totally shocked if we didn't hear a lot more about him.

3rd round pick who solidified the WR3 position as a rookie last yr.

Good news...if the pats can lock up lloyd then we can focus more on defense in the draft...although I wouldn't be surprised if bill drafts a wr early its a very deep draft at that position.

If we come out of this weekend with lloyd and landry I feel a lot better about our fa thus farfar

Boy, Tom Condon is going to be peissed when he finds out that Belichick and Lloyd are negotiating behind his back since everyone have been saying for weeks that Belichick and Condon would never negotiate with each other. :D

Please hurry up and get this done so we can put a flaming, poision-dipped stake into that other Brandon Lloyd thread.

Agree on most of your points, I'm just not sold on Landry. Even if healthy (big IF) he's not really the type of safety we need. He's terrible in coverage, which is more of what we need.

Yeah, the people saying "BB would never negotiate with X because..." apparently forget that BB would negotiate with anyone if he thought it would help the team win.

Don't think Landry would be used as a cover safety, I think in this defense he would primarily be the Big Nickel safety and play more in the box. A safety rotation of Chung, Landry and Gregory would be great.
