According to a report on NFL.com he worked out with them and had a physical this week. If this happens the 49ers are going to be almost unbeatable.

With $18m in remaining cap space, why not kick the tires.

not if he isn't completely healthy or gets injured again. They're better off with the 100% Smith who already meshes within the offense.

Health is a concern but a Peyton Manning at 80% is better than Alex Smith at 100%.

I seriously hope this does not happen, that is a SCARY team if they get peyton.....at least they're in the NFC though. I still think he goes to the Titans, just my gut feeling.

They aren't anything special at WR and RB. Gore is old.

Nothing like an unbeatable NFL team in March.

This Manning watch is getting more annoying then the Favre watch. He's playing the NFL and the media like a fiddle

Actually I really hope this will happen. This will rule out Brady going to them for at least the next three years!

Maybe if they were already in their new stadium, but I don't see him wanting to play in the Wind-tunnel by the Bay.

Or maybe he's making arguably the biggest decision of his life, exploring every option he has, and is choosing wisely.

Wait, let me guess: Manning should make a decision RIGHT NOW just to stop annoying you. It's not Manning that's annoying you, it's the media tracking every step he takes from the time he wakes up in the morning to the second he takes a piss before bed. So it might be best for you to stop watching ESPN if you're so annoyed.

EDIT: Back on topic, the 9ers described Manning's throwing session as "very impressive" and he was cleared by doctors to play in January. I don't think health is a concern.

Yup just as sick of him as I was of favre-pick a friggin team and lets move on

Crabtree is improving and Gore is 28 and 3-time pro-bowler. C'mon. Another solid WR and Davis to throw to PM will be putting up 450 points with this offense.

I agree about the annoying part, but think it's mainly the media that's doing it, not Manning. I don't think he's 'playing' anyone. If anything, it sounds like he's becoming a bit desperate and teams are shying away from him big-time.

Way too many question marks for a guy who's literally going to break any team's bank (unlike Favre). If I didn't dislike the Manning clan so much, it would be kind of sad really. :cry2:

Manning to Moss.

Frightening.

For who?

Moss won't get a moment's rest and PM will get frustrated as all hell.

Recipe for disaster.

As long as Peyton, Mighty Peyton, is throwing the ball, there will always be playoff games to be choked away.
