From the Patriots.com game report, I didn't know about this...

Maybe it was a just a mix-up in timing but when Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots were announced by the Qualcomm Stadium public address announcer, no Patriots came running onto the field. Instead, it wasn't until the Chargers were announced that New England came out en masse. By that time, Charger fans didn't know whether to cheer their own team or boo the Patriots. It took away that initial rush for the home team fans, and, if it was intentional, it was yet another brilliant move in a career full of them for Belichick.

If true, then there's no way we're going to get away with that again in Indy. NaPolian will be there in the tunnel making sure everything goes according to script. And after that he'll turn on the crowd noise filtering machine.

Just like it was all part of the plan for Brady to throw and interception on fourth down and then have Troy Brown force the fumble.

That crafty Belichick. ;)

I am sure it has been done before but for you old hockey fans out there Glen Sather from the Edmonton Oliler's used to do. He would have his team come out at the same time as the home team, the fans wouldn't know what to do, should they cheer the home team or boo the away team... classic.

i can't stand the colts so much

Ditto. Next week I hope BB comes up with something exactly like this one.
This is another good quote from the article:

"The team that is the Patriots sent a message to the NFL: It's not over until we say it's over."
