WR Anthony Gonzalez to be cut from Colts

Hes done nothing in 3 years. Oh well.

5 catches for 67 yards in the last three years combined. Activated in 11 games in three years. How is that part of cleaning house. Gonzalez has been done since 2009. Surprised he wasn't cut before this point.

Again, this is part of the myth that the Colts were talented last year and just trying to tank it for Luck. Gonzalez was a flash in the pan player who has spent more time on injured reserves than on the field.

No big deal that he cut him. He should send the Colts a gift basket that they kept him for his fifth season so he could increase his pension since his career is over.

The reason they kept him is bc Manning liked him. Poor guy though. Injuries screwed him over...including one thanks to a cheap shot from Pollard..5 yards past the sidelines.

A good thing. He was a bum, anyways.

I had forgot about him...

There was a lot of love for Gonzalez here the year he was drafted. I thought he would have fit in with the Pats well and wasn't happy when the Colts took him. Not staying healthy killed his career.

He actually would have been a good fit here, but you have to start thinking the health issues are just too much. Players who miss that much time often lose skill and sharpness.

But, for the vet min, if he is truly healthy, I'd bring him in. Fully healthy, he would have been our 3rd best WR last year.

Talk about being screwed over due to injuries.

He's either a vet minimum player or will be out of the league, might be worth signing him for camp. Healthy I think he would be a better #3/#4 WR than Branch or Ocho.

wouldn't mind him as a camp body/shadow roster guy.

I saw a video showing him using an oxygen tent to improve his condition, he had been getting exhausted towards the end of games and extremely sore afterwards. I think this should indicate that something's quite wrong with him.

He uses it to aid in his recovery. That doesn't show his lack of stamina.

They are changing the team name to The Indianapolis WTFs

Look up cheap shot in the dictionary and a pic of Bernard Pollard is shown.

My theory is that the Colts are just dissolving the franchise.

Unless it is for the veteran minimum with no guarantees, it is a waste of time signing him. The guy is too injury prone and sucks now.

LOL Right in Bill's wheelhouse... Let's hope it's a rolodex visit...
