He is supposedly the back up plan "B" to Red Bryant. Decent numbers but was not full time. According to Rotoworld

Had a solid 2011 campaign. Can see why the Pats would be interested in this guy as a 5-tech DE. 24 tackles and 6.5 sacks.

He's got a sweet mop attached to his head.

It is impossible for a football team to have too many 6'4 300 pound Samoans.

He actually had a pretty good year in 2009 too (he was injured in 2010). He had six sacks that year.

I'll take it. Never really filled the void that Seymour left, and while he won't either, I'm sure he'd be a more effective replacement than Shaun Ellis or Ron Brace.

SIGN THE Samoan!

Jonathan Fanene > Shaun Ellis

Jonathan Fanene > Gerard Warren

At least Jonathan Fanene has shown the ability to rush the passer, unlike Shaun Ellis and Gerard Warren last season.

Good player, the only reason he's not getting more playing time is that the Bengals front is stacked.

Fanene is a solid player... can play 0, 1, 3, and 5 technique depending on the front and package; somewhat similar to Deadrick.

He'd be a younger alternative to what we have or had, but he isn't much of an impact player...unseen for long stretches.

I don't know if he'd be my "first priority", but he's a reliable starter in a wave.

So true Brotha so true. Any Samoans would be good. I remember what Mosi Tatupu used to do to guy he was a assigned to block; it is a beautiful think when a blitzer ends up on the ground stunned saying "What just hit me..." Mosi and Corey Dillion were the most devastating RBs when it came to blockering.
