Can anyone confirm this? I really like this guy. I've seen we have interest and have made some contact with him, but nothing about signing him yet.

The Pats have reportedly shown interest. Langford is a a pretty good 3-4 DE. He is not spectacular, but he can both stop the run and rush the passer. If the Pats get him, he is a good pick up assuming he doesn't cost too much.

I think 98.5 is jumping the gun a bit personally.

Seattle Seahawks jump into Matt Flynn discussion, and Kendall Langford talking with 4 teams | The Daily Dolphin | Palm Beach Post

* Free agent defensive end Kendall Langford, the Dolphins’ third-round pick in 2008, would like to re-sign with the Dolphins, but his first priority is to receive fair value in the market place. To that end, Langford has a visit scheduled for tomorrow with the Cincinnati Bengals, and may have a visit with the Patriots in the next few days as well, a league source confirmed. The Atlanta Falcons, whose defensive coordinator is former Dolphins DC Mike Nolan, also have expressed interest. Langford has 7.5 sacks in four seasons (0 in 2011) and is seeking a contract slightly above the four-year, $20 million contract Washington gave Adam Carriker on Tuesday.

Miami Dolphins on verge of losing two defensive linemen: Paul Soliai, Kendall Langford visiting other teams - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

The Miami Dolphins are on the verge of losing two starting defensive linemen.

Nose tackle Paul Soliai, who turned in a Pro Bowl season last year, has a visit set up with the Denver Broncos for Thursday.

Defensive end Kendall Langford, a third-round pick who has been a starter the past four years, has a visit set up with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Deals for both players haven’t been finalized, and this could be simply the first of a few visits for the pair.

According to team and league sources, the Dolphins are also involved in the discussions for both players, and hope to retain one.

However, Miami’s hunt for a starting quarterback is preventing them from making a firm offer at this time.

Once Peyton Manning makes a decision, or the Dolphins enter the formal bidding for Matt Flynn, Miami will likely address their other needs. But at this point the team appears to be in a holding pattern, preserving its $15 million in cap space.

The Chiefs, Colts and Patriots have also expressed interest in Soliai, who is viewed as one of the NFL’s best young nose tackles.

The Colts are moving to a 3-4 scheme and need a nose tackle. Same with Kansas City. The Patriots would pair Soliai with Vince Wilfork, who is often used as a defensive end by New England.

Langford is also drawing interest from the Falcons, and the Palm Beach Post is reporting that the Patriots have also expressed interest.

About the closest thing Langford said of note on twitter was yesterday's "Pretty sure nothin is gonna happen today (Tuesday) tho"

This probably makes sense. Hopefully we can bring him in and get a deal done. I think he is one of the more underrated DL in the NFL.

I think we need a two gap end who can play right away. He'd be that guy. Draft one early with more upside who is being groomed to replace him. Fits the strategy of having your starters in place before the draft.
