Source says Patriots willing to trade two first round picks to move up to Top 10

twitter rumour...

i hope not but i suppose it depends who we are targeting, any ideas?

But I thought our MO was to move DOWN? LOL.

Twitter rumor by whom? Some fan?

Can't see this happening, but not because the Pats wouldn't do it. I think with the new rookie salary slotting a top 10 pick would be more appealing to them. But that's the problem, the top 10 picks are more appealing to other teams as well. I don't think the 31st pick would be enough to jump 17+ spots in the first round.

i just hope its not coples.... but it will be

Every year we hear this same story, it is not going to happen folks.

No @nfldraftscout Source tells us #Patriots willing to trade two first round picks (27, 31) to move up to Top 10. Looking at defense.

I hope its Claiborne but can't see him falling that far.... how would people feel if it was Trent Richardson...

Don't think that's really going to happen, but who knows...maybe the new slotting changes heavily the Pats perception of high draft picks.

If it's defense, he's the only guy (Claiborne) I think would be worth it, but the Patriots absolutely would not do this trade until that pick was on the clock...so we have a while to ponder.

Maybe the two picks plus a player get us into the 6-8 range?

The other guy that could be a possibility would be Kalil, if Light is going to retire, but that seems like overkill with Solder and Vollmer on the roster, unless Vollmer's back is definitely going to be a problem.

However, I feel confident that if Belichick was considering this, NFLdraftscout wouldn't know about it.

No way in hell, with the depth at the corner position in this years draft, would the Pats blow two firsts and likely a future draft choice to move up that far. The only position I can imagine the team would see worth moving up so high for would be DL.

In possibly related news, the Michael Brockers is going to be visiting the Pats soon...

Much rather trade down from #31 then move up. Too many good players should be available in the second round this year.

I'd puke if they took him too. LSU has a rep for churning out bust on the DL int he NFL and he's as raw as they come. I hate how fixated people are on this guy's measurables. Bust written all over him.

The Pats are going to work out a lot of players.

My understanding was that this tweet had Brockers in mind.
