From Don Aucoin on July 15th, 2009:

Jason Wolfe, vice president of AM programming for Entercom New England, which owns WEEI, voiced confidence the station would withstand the challenge.. . We have the largest audience, and we know what it takes to maintain that audience.”

2012
Morning drive:Toucher and Rich: 12.0 share.Dennis and Callahan: 8.6.

Midday: Gresh and Zo, 11.8; Mut and Merloni, 6.0.

Afternoon drive: Felger and Mazz, 11.0; The Big Show, 7.3.

Talk about a beat down. Keep the sox talk going eei.

Be sure to join Bored-way and the Pink NY Commie for the biggest ripoff "tailgate party" in Foxboro...the All Blow "Celebrity" Tailgate...eat lukewarm garbage out of sterno heated hotel pans and pay triple face price for your "special" seats to all the Patriot home games!!!

But... But.... WEEI said the only reason they were losing to 98.5 was because 98.5's FM signal went farther than WEEI's AM signal. Now that WEEI is on FM, they should be kicking 98.5's arse right?!? LOL! WEEI's ratings which combines both the AM and FM signal are still peiss poor compared to 98.5.

well i think the midday of mutt and merloni was one of the biggest mistakes they made... they started to direct denis and callahan off of topics...

The only good thing is they have locked up 2 more years of patriots monday .. and Brady and Belichicks interviews,.

Wow that is impressive by 98.5. Personally, I cannot stand the Big Show - Ordway is a total blowhard and he interrupts constantly. If you are going to have a call-in show, you need to let the callers talk once in a while, big O.

But, given where I live, it's what I can get, so I listen anyway.
I can't stand Ordway, but I really like (or used to like) Michael Holley. Holley has regressed since being teamed with Ordway. I try to listen to the Big Show only because I despise Vulgar and Spazz mostly because they despise Patriots fans, but lately I can't listen to The Big Show either because it's so bad. During the football play-offs I switched from Mut and Merloni to Gresh and Zo because the latter was so much better on football. Now, both shows suck, in my opinion. What a sad state of affairs for local radio. I'd love to see both Ordway and Felger transplanted to the Great Northwest, preferably the Alaskan part near the Arctic Circle. The sound of a single syllable from either of them causes me to change to music instantly.

I took that station off my memory dial in the car and will not listen to it again until that chubby 2-faced jerk DeOssie is canned.

What age group do these numbers represent. IMO the morning show on 98.5 is the most putrid irrelevant dribble on radio. Other than that show I find myself more and more listening to 98.5.

and...and...and if you include the Rhode Island market where EEI has affiliates airing their signal their numbers are much better! well, somewhat better....

Funny i listen to 98.5 till 2 and go over to big show during footbal season....as felger is horrible when it comes to football.

That mid day show has to go - Mutskansky sucks and he stinks.....time for John Dennis to be pushed overboard, along with O.....young up and coming media like Chris Gasper and Rappaport should be looked at by EEI - they need youth and relevant hosts not old farts...

I get everything I need from talk radio when they turn the airways over to callers who do not have a life from 5:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Weiner Whiner Line and Last Call are great. "Okay, Andy. Let's stoke 'er up...."

i did the same thing. im not watching anything on comcast sports net either.

WEEI shot itself in both feet breaking up Dale and Holley and replacing them with the extremely weak Mutt & Merloni. Meanwhile, Ordway has become an even more insufferably pompous little **** (if that was possible), and Mike Adams has been a sad joke from day one. The "talent" is doing them in.

I do the same, although I think Felger and Mazz are both godawful on all sports, eei should be able to put together a show that can beat F & M if they put a little effort into it.

If Ordway slips under an 18-wheeler that would be a start.

just from my perspective, i think they both suck. so, it's just a matter of less suckage.

toucher and rich-horrendous............d and c-less suck
mutt and merloni-unlistenable...........gresh and zo-less suck
feltch and mazz-ears bleed............. big show because of holley-less suck

I'm shocked that a station that actually pays "Mikey" Adams is struggling against the competition. They should have a lock on the under 13 crowd.
