Adam Schefter

Colts free-agent wide receiver Pierre Garcon recently rejected a five-year contract offer from Indianapolis.

Who would want Garcon on the Pats? I would sign him!

In the 4th quarter this year against our secondary,Garson looked like Jerry Rice and Orlovski like Montana .... no butterfingers then.

still does nothing to the fact he is a butterfinger

But. Rejecting the colts at this point would seem to be a good career move :D.

I think we'll see lots of bailing from an org in turmoil. Going 2-14 has consequences. I for one m glad. (No, not the organization Glad, I mean I'm happy about it, even gay...wait)

Not that there is anything wrong with that

There's Trouble. Right here in Indy City. With a capital T and that rhymes with P and that stands for Peyton and he ain't no more.

OK...I tried.

I don't see him as a true #1 option. He's a good #2 option though. He must want to go to a team that can win now which is certainly admirable.

The Jets will sign him. lol.

I would love for that joke of a franchise to sign him

Rejecting the Horsies means Garcon will have to be patient until FA is underway.
I hope Garcon is a good waiter.

The more receivers that hit the market the better for the Pats. More supply means in all likelihood you shouldn't have to pay a premium, like you would if there was a very limited supply.

Also it means other teams looking to add a receiver may end up taking one the Pats weren't really interested in. That in turn makes it more likely that the Pats are able to sign a receiver they truly wanted to acquire, as opposed to having to settle for whatever is left over.

Not to mention turning down a 5 year deal from the team to whom he's worth the most surely means he'd sign here for a song...:ugh:

Schefter seems to think the Colts may have been offering 5/$25M while the player sees himself as more of a 5/$41M guy...

Bill Polian praised him today, but also added this little note I enjoyed:

He's a little inconsistent, in that he played at a Division III school, Mount Union, and believe it or not, in his senior year, never played in the second half of a single game. They were ahead by so many points that they benched him.

So, let me get this straight. Welker has one drop and is crucified and people want to sign garcon?

I feel like half the people out there wants Welker gone..oh how they would be crying for him back if that ever happened

I think at the end ofthe day, the pats want a guy who is willing to take a slight discount for a shot at winning the SB. The thinking being that we were one good (outside) WR away from having a complete offense. I know the running game isn't rated at an A, but it certainly can get the job done.

Though, how many WRs have those type of thoughts would be interesting, but we've been to 5 of the last 11 SBs...thems pretty good odds.
