Nope. Besides the Pats pick theres a lot of misses in there

This is worse than the other one you did..

This would be just about worst case scenario for me. I see Curry as a late 2nd prospect, and I have no idea where I'd play Dennard.

First off, before I rip the picks(sorry, but I have to) I want to give you credit for taking the time and effort to put together a mock draft. They are not easy and it is your mock, so you do what you want, but....

I just feel like both picks for the pats are not very good.

I do not mind Curry for the Patriots, but not in the 1st. I look at his tape and I do not see a guy who is all that dynamic and while he has a great motor I am not sure that his skill set right now is that of a player who can win the starting job on this defense right now, and that is what you have to get from your 1st round pick.

As far as Dennard, I think I have made my case on why I do not think he is a good fit for a multitude of reasons in some of the other posts, but just quickly, he does not fit the style of play that the Patriots like to run and he does not have the hips, feet, or speed to play that style. Not a fan of his at all.

Good effort, but I think there needs to be some re-evaluation.

Are there any DE/OLB types you think are worthy of a late first round pick? I like what I see of Curry on tape. I think its possible that he could get meaningful reps at 4-3 DE in his rookie year and develop into a stud 3-4 OLB over time. I think he'd be an instant upgrade over Cunningham.

No Cox or Poe in the first round........

First off, it is not Cunningham this player would need to beat out. Cunningham was a healthy scratch for most of the year and then he did eventually get hurt and put on IR.
As of right now, I am not sure if there is a guy who I feel is a good enough conversion project to take with a first rounder. I will be interested in seeing what kind of numbers Hightower puts up at the combine and I think there are some guys in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round that I think make interesting conversion players as well, including Curry, but just not in the 1st.

Nope. I wouldn't roll the dice on an OLB convert until the 2nd round.

Sounds like you and I are on the same page on this particular topic.:D

Haha I just don't like gambling with first rounders and we all know Belichick feels the same way. It's the only round where you have a very high percentage at getting a real contributor, why throw in a stick of dynamite?

i do not see blackmon falling past 5.

Watched several Nebraska games the past two years. Seems Dennard was always chasing after his man, trying to make the tackle. He's a poor man's McCourtney.

Saw Curry against Tulsa. He didn't stand out as a special player (this is before I knew his draft status). Tulsa single blocked him the whole game, I never noticed his name being called.
