Boston (in) Common: Kevin Youkilis set to marry Tom Brady

It appears that two of Boston's favorite sporting sons will soon be related by marriage. Boston Red Sox infielder/DH Kevin Youkilis is engaged to marry Julie Brady, the sister of some guy named Tom who happens to play quarterback for the New England Patriots. The Greek God of Walks first met Tom Terrific's sister at a postgame party at Patriot Place in 2011, just after the New York Jets booted the Patriots out of the 2010 playoffs.

(Quick -- someone tell Rodney Harrison -- some good can come from postgame parties, after all!)

The funny thing is, when in the past he Kevin Youkilis has been asked to comment on the Patriots, he has reminded people that he is from Cincinnati and is a diehard Bengals fan who doesn't really follow the Patriots.

Maybe the wife can fix that.

Kevin: it's not the 80s anymore. You can finally give up hope of the Bengals being relevant. Sure, now and then they might sneak into the playoffs, but Mike Brown is in charge, for Christsakes. How good can it get before he screws everything up, since his dad Paul Brown's football brilliance definitely did not get passed on through his DNA?

Welcome to Patriots nation!

Well that's going to be really weird come mid-season and he gets traded. LMAO

There is only one thing I can say about this, SignbabyYoukilis:D

Always thought that Youk was a tad strange.. but who knows. The Dynasty will continue..

Do not tell the PFT Paparazzi, some bad things might happen there.

Just had that very thought. Don't see him being with the Red sox very long. Injuries are starting to take their toll.

hmmm...I also feel like Youk isn't the greatest guy. Never met the guy but it seems like he's always complianing or yelling about something. Just ask Manny,

I don't know him, but I've met him twice. The second time I had the pleasure of talking with him one-on-one for almost 15 minutes. I couldn't have been more impressed. He struck me as an independent thinker type of guy who has little patience for those who don't give an all-out effort all of the time. He spoke highly of the fan-base here and its passion. Like most fans, I never really get the opportunity to speak with pro athletes, so for me it was a nice experience. Seemed very down-to-earth and genuinely interested in what I had to say. Finally, when he spoke or listened, he made direct eye contact the entire time which, for me at least, is somewhat revealing.

Portent of doom for the marriage.

Youk is 32, and Bradys sister's are older than Tom, right, who is 34?
