Good tackler, can play in zone. Probably the fourth best pure cover guy after Dowling, Moore, and McCourty.

I like Arrington, but he seems to be more of a nickel back instead of a starting CB.

I don't really care what Arrington is because he's a #3, #4 type. More important to me is if McCourtey comes back with a big season and if Dowling can be a quality starting CB if healthy. If those two can be good starters then Arrington and Moore are fine at #3, #4. If not then we need another #1 pick CB this year. All that said, I think a real starting Safety to go with Chung is the bigger upgrade we need in the secondary.

I think Arrington can be a legit #2 or nickleback. I thought he did a fine job most of last night. It'll be interesting to see how Dowling pans out. I would expect our CB position next year to be (and this is not in order of rank or playing time): Arrington, Dowling, McCourty (part time I guess), a high draft pick or free agent, and Moore.

I know I wasn't intending to be a jerk. I was really agreeing with you, Arrington is an NFL caliber CB but not a starter on a SB contender. I would like to draft yet another CB and go into next year with McCourtey, Dowling, Draftee, Moore, Arrington as our top five.

It was three years ago since Dowling has been able to stay on the field even a little bit.

A guy who is a sloppy tackler and hit n miss in coverage, right. All pro? Get real. If he didn't have 7 INT's he would be getting alot of **** for being so unreliable.

Dowling looked quite good, albeit in very limited time.

Arrington is a solid corner, but not an ideal starter. Great depth and ST play, though.

He did an amazing job on Cruz. That's the type of receiver he should be covering in the slot. He was super physical with him and kept stayed in front of him. If he can give that type of effort vs guys like Bess, Collie, Royal and others on the Pats schedule next year it would take this defense up a notch.

First they have to get the outside set as others have said. Easier said than done.
