Must Read Article on Brady By Dan Wetzel - For those who think Brady doesn't care

I don't know how anyone could have watched Brady this season and thought he did not care about winning. You would have to have your head far up your ass to think that.

Well, Eli had all the help he needed from his teammates for his clutchitude. That Manningham sideline reception was bananas. Brady wasn't as fortunate today. If another catch or two is made (I think we can think of at least one drop in particular...), we're talking about how great Brady is in the clutch.
Yup. Don't let perception get in the way of reality. The Welker drop was a FAR easier catch than the Manningham catch and if Welker hangs on, the Patriots very likely win the game and no one is talking about how clutch Eli is or that Brady didn't do enough. Brady would've been 25-32 after that, the Super Bowl MVP and tied with Joe Montana in both rings and SB MVP's. But because Welker can't hang on all of a sudden Brady isn't clutch enough? Give me a break.

Some people just don't realize how fortunate we are to have what we have, and if they don't by now, they won't realize it until it's gone.

.

BS. Welker's catch was very hard to make, Brady threw it too hard, too high, and on his back shoulder. A very bad throw by Brady with Welker wide open. Eli hit his receiver perfectly in his stride, his receiver didnt had to jump as high as he could on his back to make the catch .
Manningham's catch was far more easier to make, and yes, Eli hit his receiver almost perfectly with a 40yard bomb to the sideline in a tight window, while Brady f**ked up an easy 25 yard throw. No question that Manningham's catch was far more easier to make than Welker's.

You were clearly drinking during the game and have not seen the replay of those two plays while sober. After you get the booze out of your system watch those replays again.

I've seen the replays more than 10 times. What I wrote above still stands.

If you look at Welkers 122 receptions this season you will see plenty that were harder to make.

EDIT : Brady's throw wasn't perfect but it was definately catchable.

Yah.......let's blame welker for Brady's throws behind branch.

Let's blame welker for that stupid safety........let's blame welker for the Blackburn int

Anything else?

You win as a team, and you lose as a team. However, there are always certain plays that make or break games.

This is no different than Lee Evans non-catch in the AFC Championship game. The Ravens fans were calling for his head the same way people are calling for Wes's head.

You have to step up and make big plays in big games.

Considering Welker is taking responsibility for this, then I think we can assume he viewed himself as failing to catch a ball that was catchable.

I'm not defending Brady over the other player. Both are to blame on that play. Welker is a competitor and his reaction after the play and after the game tells you all you need to know about that catch though. He knew he could've had it.

Ha. How many times did Welker had to jump as high as he could with his back towards the ground, with his hands fully extended and with his body rotating right to left because Brady threw a ****ty pass to his left shoulder? Call me when you'll find an harder example among those 122 receptions.

And by the way, there was absolutely no reason for Brady to throw to his left shoulder, when the safety was too far away anyway to make a play on the catch. Welker wide open, and Brady badly overthrows him.

Of the top of my head i recall a Welker catch(vs Bills maybe?) that was close to identical and i think he was covered when we made that one.

I'm not gonna bother arguing over this any further. Brady threw a bad pass on what should've been an easy completion. Wes had a shot at the ball and he couldn't make it. That is all.

Just bumping this for those who missed this article, it was definitely a fantastic read.

Great article. I just printed it out for my very disappointed kids to read. I want them to learn about a Champion, how losing hurts and how no one is immune from the pain.

And, yes, Welker should have made that catch. Tyree and Manningham made tough-to-impossible catches when they had to make them to put their teams in a position to win the Super Bowl; he didn't. Of those three, only he has even a remote shot at being considered for Canton. A play like that would have gone on his Canton resume.

Welker didn't lose the game single-handedly, but I'm not letting him off the hook either.

That was't a hard catch by Manningham. Eli drop it in perfectly. It was just a matter of whether or not he got his feet in.

Picture of Giselle and Tom says a thousand words. I suppose thats the best consolation after a tough day.

wow..good article...

Makes me even more sad but just goes to show how tough it is losing at that stage...Brady cares more than anyone on this team... a true champion

You're delusional:

Mario Manningham Catch - The Hollywood Gossip

WES WELKER'S DROP IN THE SUPER BOWL - YouTube

It might seem that way because of the defender's dragging down Manningham after the catch or the fact that it was a sideline's catch. But the actual catch? Eli laid it perfectly in there. Manningham's catch - the catch itself - was unremarkable. Welker's catch - while routine - was the more difficult catch for a receiver to make. Having to leap and turn your body around to make a catch is more difficult than having to secure a perfecty thrown ball.

Honestly that was very upsetting to read and im not a softy!

Re: Great Article on Brady By Dan Wetzel - For those who think Brady doesn't care

1) 1st Offensive Play Safety(cost us 9 points and put D on heels immediately)
2) Another throw it up for Grabs bomb to a limping Gronk that results in INT

Two plays, and chalk up another loss....He hasnobody else to blame but his own mediocre play. I thought he would've learnt the lesson from Ravens game ill timed throw to Slater.

Fact is Eli played it safe. The Old Brady we knew we could count on not making mistakes to beat self in PLAYOFFS. Post 2007, that Brady is MIA, as we saw another example tonight.

You nailed it.
